Refinance scam
I paid the $450.00 Appraisal - was told when enquiring that it would take around 30 days to complete the refinance. This was in September 2010. Yesterday, January 11th 2011 I had made 12 telephone calls and left 2 voicemails requesting a returned phone call to the manager of the guy that was dealing with my loan to complain. I still avent had a call back.
WELLS FARGO is the biggest SCAM out there !!!
Today I am already in the closing process of my refinance with Loan Depot and couldnt be happier - I still want my $450 back - out of principal - these guys are a bunch of monkeys playing with peoples money and completely dishonest. I have it in email written form that the guys from wells fargo had claimed to me it would take around 30 days to complete the refinance - which was a bod lie - the avaerage it takes Wells Fargo to complete a refinanace is 120 days - lies lies lies !!!
Dont trust Wells Fargo - I hope karma comes and kicks them in the butt - we need less banks like these - am disgusted that they can get away with it - Anyone think its worth going to small claims over??? Or seeing as they are scamming so many of us - cant we go to FOX or CNN and get them to report on it and let everyone out there know not to trust Wells Fargo !!!

foreclosure
I fell behind on payment due to job loss. they put me in foreclosure right away. I came up with $2000 and they told me 3 months on time payments and they'll lower the payments to my new income. after the 3rd month, they told me I need $7000 for past due fees. Then they said $2000 a month until I catch up. now I'm back in foreclosure. I'm not paying them nothing, I'm calling a attorney! Thanks Wells Fargo for working with me.

Bad fees
I'm an international business student and Wells Fargo doesn't have any partner banks overseas in Germany or China. This means I get hit with the Wells Fargo $5 overseas atm fee + 3% transaction fee + fees from the atm owning bank ($18).
I simply cannot afford +$23 per atm transaction (once a week). I spoke with three people and two managers. No one had any solutions for me so it appears that my business is not important to Wells Fargo. Even the employees agreed that the fees I am paying are excessive.
Bank of American has a partner bank in every country and charges 1% of the transaction. It looks like I'm going to have to change banks.

overcharging, again and again
My husband wrote a check to me, on another bank, to cover his share of a credit card bill. I deposited this check on 12/31/10 into my Wells Fargo checking account. Unfortunately, the check was returned to and created a negative balance on my Wells Fargo account. I actually found out about this through the other bank, not Wells Fargo. On 1/8, I made a rather hefty deposit, which more than covered the negative balance on my account.
We had a big ice and snow event that week, and I was able to be home to check the mail. On Wednesday, I received a letter that stated there was a hold on my account for the amount of the returned check, completely disregarding that I made that deposit to my account four days before. I contacted Wells Fargo and told them of the deposit and said I didn't want the check redeposited. They could not assure me that it wouldn't be redeposited, so I went to the other band put a stop payment on the check before another negative balance was created on another account. I kept checking my balance and on Friday I discovered that I not only had yet another negative balance on my account, but they had charged me $70 in overdraft fees. I called them at 3:30 on Friday afternoon, my first day back at work that week, and had them look at my account. The call finally ended at 4:15 with the banker suggesting that I go to the branch and have the manager take the hold off of the check. I made it to the bank at 4:55, spoke with a very nice gentleman who in reality couldn't help me, as he was not the branch manager and she was unavailable. He assured me that she would call me on Tuesday.
Oh, she called me all right, and left a message on my voice mail. She called me by a completely different name. I called the 1-800 number, and voiced my complaints to the banker on the other line, My account is by now in the red by an additional $300. No satisfaction by phone.
Yesterday, I decided to go to the branch and try to meet with the manager face-to-face. After about 30 minutes of trying to figure out where the problem was, they finally got the hold off of my account and showed me my balance, which was for the first time in a while actually in the black!
Until today, when I attempted to pay some fees at the YMCA and it was not authorized. I got home and looked at my balance online. It was the same negative balance that I had before I went to the branch in person yesterday! They had put a hold on my account again, and charged ne another $47 in overdraft and returned check fees.
I seriously don't know where to proceed with this. A lawyer, perhaps?

foreclosure
Today we were served with foreclosure papers. We have never missed a payment or been late on one! We received a letter in the summer saying they were going to foreclose; we called and they assured us it was all a big mistake, then today (1.15.2011) we received these papers. This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with, and am hoping my attorney will sue for harrassment! For months we have been in contact with them and have asked for a letter to prove we were okay, and they promise it but it never comes. Our attorney wrote a letter and it still didn't stop! Guess we will be out on the street in a few weeks--with our previously perfect credit and proof we never missed a payment...

Loan Modification
Dear WFSUCKS-
I hope you don't mind but I borrowed your profile name as it is so appropriate for this situation! I felt like I was reading our story as I read what you and your wife are going through. My husband has been unemployeed for 2 years so we took all the same steps as you. Well long story short he was just turned down for an insruance agent's job as we found out that Wells Fargo has our mortgage in default on our credit report, not modification and what I was told by the Rep. I am so furious I could spit! I need to know who I can write letters to and who I can talk to and if any of your letters have done any good? I wish you the best!!!

Lost deposit
Wells Fargo is a far cry from what Wachovia used too be. Since the change of name the service quality I used to receive is the worst ever. The latest is I made a deposit at a branch before 2 p.m. and two day later I found out it was not credited to my account!!! They lost the DEPOSIT. Do you hear me THEY LOST THE DEPOSITTTTT. It will take 5 days (at their leisure) to find out what happened to MY MONEY! They told me that if I indeed made a deposit I have nothing to worry about. Really what about my bills! They told me that is my PROBLEM! I am moving to another bank!

age discrimination
If you are looking to refinance DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO. They are the most uneducated, unprofessional outfit I have ever dealt with. I know the banks received alot of the stimulous money specifically to loan out to qualified recipients, hopefully to create jobs and more important to help the stagnant real estate market, Why does this outfit get away with game playing etc in the hopes they will get rid of you. Anyway beware, there most be better alternatives out there

loan refinancing
Just a word of advice to people looking to refinance, DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO. My husband and I are fortunate, we have no debt, good credit, good income and a fairly large nest egg. We are in our 60's and most likely will not live to pay off mortgage (we are refinancing &25, 000) and I am sure that is the reason they want to get rid of us however we all know that age discrimination is illegal so we have been harassed for 4 months asking for difficult to get meaningless piece of papers. I am so tempted to go elsewhere, hopefully a company with a higher standard of service but I am now angry and won't give them what they want. I have dealt with Chase and my credit Union many times in another state and never had anything close to this experience, in fact I had excellent experiences I listen to our political leaders go on and on blaming each other for our high unemployment and poor economy, why don't they look at the crooked banks.
