Check image Fees
These thieves at Wells Fargo charge me a $2.00 fee for printing a canceled check image on the monthly statement that I have yet to receive. I called the idiots and they will not remove the charge even though Wachovia never scammed me this way. I am closing my account and I hope those idiots go out of business.

stole my money
-I had an account at wells fargo for 9 months. It was one of those second chance accounts with a lot of restrictions.
In that period I had one overdraft that I paid for and was in good standings. It was a large deposit and would have taken 1
week to clear. I talked to a banker about getting off of probation and stepping up to a regular account. He got on his computer and
exclaimed " yes you can open a regular account at this time, congratulations ! ( I'm serious ). He said all we need to do is get the check back that I
deposited and open the new account with the required savings account to go with it. He closed out my old account deactivated my ATM
card and opened the new accounts. With this new set up the funds from my deposit would be available in 2 days. 2 days later I return to the bank
a different branch with my checkbook and my drivers license. I explain that I don't have an ATM card yet and that was no problem. I withdrew 1000 and transfered 3k into my landlord's account, No problem . 2 days later I return to the bank for money to pay back my friend for
using his ATM card to purchase 49ers tickets. It was all the money he had and it was already spoken for.. I assured him that I had him covered
and wouldn't hang him out to dry. This time the teller says thay can't let me have money without 2 forms of ID. I told her I was here 2 days ago with only 1 form of ID without any issues. If nothing else you would think they could check my signature to validate my identity since my CDL
wasn't good enough for their tight security. Now they say there is some other problem with your account why don't you go sit down with the
banker while she figures out what's going on. After a conversation she had with "them" she reported to me that they have put a hold on my account and would have to call an 800 # for some explanation
I said no I will go talk directly to the banker that opened the account. He said that loss prevention found something on checksum or some reporting co. and they had an issue with my social security number (even though it was my debt they found with that number. I said this is ridiculous just give me my money back and I will take my business elsewhere. Nope sorry there is a 10 day hold on both accounts and after that period they will mail a cashiers check to the address on the accounts. Even though they were concerned about my identity enough to hold my money but apparently after 10 days they don't care who they mail a check to. I said I need that money it's every penny I have to my name.
I'll get my social security card and that should clear up any doubt. That is not good enough for them, they want me to go to social security and get a note from them stating that the number is indeed mine. I said how in the hell are they going to know who I am anymore than you do you must be joking. I am still waiting out the sentence on my moneys jail time. I told them that if they can mail me a cashiers check they can just as easily give me the cash I'm not going to wait another 2 weeks for the check in the mail routine. I'm not going to go into all the problems I have had and how much this is going to cost me when it's all said and done. I could be starving to death for all they know and the fact is that they just don't give a f---k about me or my welfare. I have an urge to go down and protest the injustice in front of the bank and exercise my freedom of speech, which is about the only thing I can afford right now. Thanks Wells Fargo you giant A holes

Not releasing funds for contractor
I am a roofing contractor in Wichita KS. I replaced 2 roofs 6 - 8 weeks ago on Wells Fargo mortgage customers. We sent Wells Fargo everything that they said they needed to release the insurance money to their customer for them to pay me. But every week or 2 just when I am expecting to receive the money they come up with something ridiculous that they say they need or they can't locate a piece of paperwork that I sent them previously. They are currently holding about $25000.00 of MY MONEY and I am at my wits end and really ticked off. I have already paid for the materials and labor for these jobs. And I currently have 4 more customer's roofs to build who also have their morgage with Wells Fargo! So, Wells Fargo will be in complete control of that money for 2-3 months as well. Can anyone reading this afford not to be paid for 2-3 months? Is there not a government agency that can help or some type of legal action that can be taken against these crooks?! The reason they are holding the money is very simple.. they are making millions of dollars in interest on hardworking contractor's incomes. I have an account with Wells Fargo that I will be closing now. I recommend that no one do business with this company.

Scam Loan Modification Program
NEVER NEVER NEVER trust Wells Fargo when they tell you they can help you with a loan modification for your home loan. I have been wasting my time for 1 full year giving information over and over and over to multiple different customer service reps, loan modification specialists, and underwriters that I think I am going to lose my mind. But what I'm really losing in the end, because I trusted the idiots at Wells Fargo, is my home. I too was put on a trial payment period while my financial information was being considered for a loan modification. I paid the amount specified for 3 months with no late payments as instructed by Wells Fargo. The 3 months went by and I continued paying the modified amount for a few months after that. Then I finally got a letter from them stating I was not approved for their loan modification but that they had other "programs" that I might qualify for. I then received a letter from a foreclosure lawyer stating that Wells Fargo had turned my loan over for foreclosure and that they were demanding the past due amount of the difference between my original loan payment and the modified amount that they told me to pay! That was three months ago and we are STILL submitting documentation to Wells Fargo for consideration and our house is due to foreclose soon. I am even getting the run-around from the lawyers office in trying to get information from them. It is a complete nightmare. Moral of the story is - never trust Wells Fargo - THEY LIE!!!

Using fraudulent activities to put homes in for-closure
As a consumer in today's unfortunate housing market, I can't thank the government enough for making the Home Affordable Mortgage Act. In exchange for a promise from lenders to help consumers in hardship to catch their loans up and avoid for-closure the Federal Government has allotted special bailout funds to these business's. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is deliberately doctoring their numbers, misleading consumers that call upon them for help, turning away people with unfair and fraudulent acts, as well as withholding information and documents needed for consumers to stop the for-closure proceedings in a way I believe is to purposely to gain homes in areas that will not only let them recoup their losses, but the equity in that home as well.
My husband and myself were fortunate when we purchased our first home in 2004, we weighed our budget closely, decided what we could afford and couldn't and purchased a modest home in the well sought after, and growing, West Millard area in Omaha Nebraska. For $117, 000, my three children and my husband and I were living the dream in an affordable home, even after the market crumbled. We had a fixed rate of 5% and an affordable mortgage. We paid biweekly, on time, and had a credit score in the 700's. In 2009, for eight months we separated and I feel behind on my mortgage, we reconciled in 2010 Jan, and soon thereafter my position at work was terminated. I decided to go back and get my BSN and am a current full-time student at Nebraska Methodist College to date. With my husband being the only income, we have fallen 2 months behind. Now, I have always kept in contact with my creditors, monthly with Wells Fargo Mtg. Every month, I begged, cried and pleaded on the phone with whichever poor soul answered. Each time, our income was taken down, (a 30 minute process, ) and every month we were told we didn't have enough income. Finally last month in Oct, on or about the 16th, We qualified as we had a two-hundred a month car payment that was paid off. Again, I gave all of income and bills, and was told that the loan modification required doc's were being mailed off that day, and to make sure to Fax..not mail, them back asap. Ten days passed, no letter, I called Wells Fargo again, got a nice gentleman, who assured me it was mailed, but just in case, it will be mailed again..November 1, 2010. November 11, 2010, I called Wells Fargo again and had a woman tell me that Wells Fargo doesn't mail such documents and that I didn't qualify anyway, it had been denied. Almost in tears, I hung up, looked online, and indeed, we had been denied according to their loan modification details. Today November 12th, I called Wells Fargo again, and the woman I spoke with confirmed my suspicion when she told me that a letter for demand of payment was in the mail, sent out on the 7th day of November, and that for-closure was sure to follow, should loan not be caught up. She informed me that with $5, 570 extra money available after bills were paid, that I certainly didn't qualify for any help. Now, we have no such amount after our bills, and after going over my finances at least 6 times in the last 6 months with several different agents, why was my income inflated to such a degree? They even had myself down as getting $2, 200 a month in unemployment that I do not receive. Why didn't the agent yesterday mention that? Your guess is as good as mine. I can tell you our home is worth quite a bit more than the $106, 000 we owe, and that Wells Fargo would stand to gain at least $25, 000 if sold in a for-closure proceeding. I can also say that after investigating this myself, there are numerous complaints and blogs on Wells Fargo's practices and that this isn't isolated to myself alone. It seems this little game of theirs in very common. Why is this being allowed to happen? Who will be our voice? These practices are disguised as simple errors, but none-the-less, error after error cannot be written off. Now the nice lady on the phone this time, again qualified me with the tedious income verification process, declaring how lucky I was, Because so many get denied, but this time, she directed me to a website where I printed off some forms myself to be faxed in immediately. Why different this time, I cannot answer. My intentions here are not to receive a handout, but to be sure that these promises made by the mortgage companies are done in an honest, forthright manner. To not do so is an extreme disregard to families everywhere, losing their homes for reasons that otherwise could be avoided. I intend to write the Federal Trade commission about this matter, my Attorney General in Nebraska, whom I hope will forward this to any proper authorities I am unaware of, and I will also inform the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs Office, as well as the White House Federal Bureau of Investigations on Corporate or Mortgage Fraud. Somewhere down the line, this will be brought to the media's attention and stopped. Thank your for your valuable time.

Pissed at Wells Fargo

Refinance
I tried to refinance my house with Wells Fargo and I have a good credit score, I owe less balance on bills then when I bought the house as well as I put a large down payment down so I don't owe a lot. the person I was working with was concerned about a balance of $32.40 which was going to be paid off that week. Even thought they have gotten Stimulus money they are not interested in refinancing my house. I pay my mortgage early every month since I bought the house.
They are not interested in any business

Fees
Wells Fargo is willing to lose a customer over $5. That seems like horrible customer service to me, and I will leave them because of principle. I have been a customer with them for over 8 years, I have a chk, savings, credit card and home loan with Wells Fargo. All that they are going to lose because they will not reverse my full $10 fee, which I feel was due to their error. I am sick of banks and companies charging all these extra little fees that they think people will not care about, knowing full well it all adds up for them. And I don't believe the excuse that they do not have the capability to remove it; then get me someone who does~!

First bank of no
Wells Fargo should be renamed "First Bank of No", because no matter what the customer wants, the answer is always, "Oh NO! You can't do that! You must do it OUR way, with the maximum amount of inconvenience and expense!" I closed a bank account that might have been compromised and opened a new one by phone. The reason I had to close it was that I had to stop payment on a check, but Wells Fargo requires that you remember this and renew the stop payment every 6 months for the rest of your life, at $30 a pop. How reasonable is that? While opening the replacement account, over and over, I specified that EVERYTHING about the new account should be EXACTLY the same as the old account, but Oh NO, they couldn't do that. I specified that we should be able to continue using our atm cards, and was assured that would be the case, but Oh NO! first time I tried to use my debit card at an ATM it was refused, and I had to physically drive to a brick-and-mortar Wells Fargo and let them diddle the card to make it work again. I asked, while physically there, that they simultaneously ok my husband's use of his card, but Oh NO! he (who works) must get in his car, drive to a Wells Fargo, stand around and waste time while they diddle his card too. I asked, when creating the new account, that they put one of our addresses on my checks and another one on our statements, and was assured it would be exactly as I specified, but when I got the checks, Oh NO, the address shown was the wrong one. I asked, when creating the new account, that they make sure the statement included check images and was assured that would happen, but Oh NO! they're not included with my first statement. In fact, absolutely NOTHING was done right. They've definitely earned the appellation of "First Bank of No".

LOST AGAIN

Home Modification
Again here we go with them. We did receive a modification after 18 months, yeah it took that long and several hundred people to do one simple modification. THE PROBLEM IS THE DATES WERE NOT CORRECT, THEY HAD THE AGREEMENT DATED AFTER THE ACTUAL PAYMENT WAS DUE. SO IF WE SIGNED IT WE STILL WOULD BE LATE AND AS THEY HAVE WRITTEN IN THE CONTRACT WOULD HAVE LOST OUR HOUSE. SO ALL WE ASKED WAS TO CLEAR UP THE DATES AND PUT AN ACUTAL PAYMENT AMOUNT INSTEAD OF AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT.
HERE WE SIT AND WAIT, THEY STILL HAVEN'T SENT US A CORRECTED LEGAL DOCUMENT TO SIGN. ALL WE WANT TO DO IS MAKE OUR PAYMENTS... ALL IS WE ASK IS THAT THE MODIF. BE DATED ON THE DATE WE SIGN AND THE PAYMENT BE DUE AFTER THAT DATE. AND HAVE AN ACTUAL AMOUNT WE ARE AGREEING TO. SO NOW THEY SAY WELL SOMEONE ELSE HAS TO REVIEW THIS AND YOU HAVE TO SEND IN NEW INFO FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME. NO WONDER THEY NEEDED A BAIL OUT, THEY HAVE SO MANY DAMM PEOPLE WORKING THAT DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. AND THEN DO THEY ACTUALLY READ THE DOCUMENTS THEY SEND. DO THEY HAVE ATTORNEYS ???? WHO WOULD SIGN AN INCOMPLETE DOCUMENT. OUR ATTORNEY SAID TO NOT SIGN. HELLO WELLS FARGO ...HERE IS SOMEONE THAT WANTS TO MAKE A PAYMENT AND YOU ARE NOT LETTING THEM WHAT IS THE DEAL. ANYONE WHO CAN HELP US WE WOULD APPREICATE IT.
