Credit defense
I got this credit card from Wells Fargo two months ago, and I was encouraged to sign up for the credit defense program. I was told that I would not be charged any fee as long as I pay my balance in full at the end of each month. Well, that was a lie. You are charged $0.89 for every $100 of your balance at the end of the month, whether you pay it in full or not. You only have 30 days to cancel it, and unfortunately I was not fast enough. It looks like Wells Fargo is a bank who tells lies to its customers to steal their money.

Wells Fargo is not properly adhering to HAMP guidelines
I am in real estate, and from professional and personal experience, I can tell you that Wells Fargo is NOT here to help those who want to refinance or modify their loans. I've read many of the complaints, and they are all too familiar. My husband and I have a small business, and we have been trying to modify our home loan since March of 2009. Instead of putting us into the HAMP program, for which we qualified, they gave us a 6-month forbearance (no skin off their backs, just a delay in the inevitable!). Finally, in September, they told us that we qualified for the HAMP program and gave us documentation to fill out. Mind you, my husband and I had close to an 800 credit score until we ran into trouble with our business. Our income was literally cut in half. Our present mortgage payment does not include Insurance and Escrow, so when their processing department went over our financial figures, they said that we were right where we needed to be (mortgage payment 31% of Net Income). However, our housing payment is 45% of our Net Income. I just found a Loophole in the HAMP qualification process: if your home insurance and property taxes are NOT escrowed in your mortgage payment, Wells Fargo will use Principal and Interest only to figure whether or not one qualifies. Furthermore, when I spoke to the SIGTARP representative, I found out that all we have on the government end is a 'toothless tiger', as they are not in a position to do anything to the Loan Servicer. In the meantime, we keep getting conflicting letters from different offices Wells Fargo has around the country. One letter states that we have not been in any contact with them, another states that they have received our info and are getting ready to help us, and yet another letter says that we owe them 4 months worth of mortgage payments and they need a cashier's check by November 10, 2009, or they will accelerate our mortgage. So, what did we do? I wrote letters to President Obama, SIGTARP, FOX 4 NEWS, and WELLS FARGO. My gut tells me that our situation will fall on deaf ears, but my husband and I have decided that we can not let this situation affect our health, which it already has for me. Worst case scenario, I'll be moving back home with mom at age 42. Fortunately, we have a good family who will not let us live in the street.

CLOSED CREDIT CARD ACCT
Ive Been a customer of WF for 3 months- checking and savings. I had my WF credit card account for years closed by WF after I paid it off. No phone call no letter as promised to discuss the common issue of bank holds ect that happend in the transaction... There was a hold on my deposit to Bank of America days earlier in which I wrote a 7K check off of to myself in my WF checking account to pay off my cc. I waited a couple days and went online to pay off my WF credit card from my WF checking acct. WF checking shows the money available. Let me type that again -WF checking shows the money is available. Well, BOA put a one week hold on the money.WF didnt have that info before they allowed me to pay off the credit card. The transaction to pay off the WF credit card went through. My mortgage is through WF too but that doesnt matter. When BOA put a hold on the money that WF said I had- it caused the fraud dept at WF to close my acct- funds were on hold. Mitch Milner bank manager at WF Frisco, TX (Hwy 121) tells me that "I mismanaged my account and the CC side is not his and he doesnt need to help me and doesnt have the time to continue to help me. He did make a few calls and called me a liar after I was told to go back to him by the WF credit dept when no phone call was placed to me by WF Credit. I told him I didnt have a million dollars in my WF checking and that is not helping me in this issue- He tells me " Thats business". Its simple- If you do not have a million dollars in your account YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME AT WELLS FARGO TX. THEY ONLY WANT MILLION DOLLAR CUSTOMERS. Still no call or letter concerning this issue- a fraud lable was put on my account and all three credit agencies are showing this. Thanks Wells Fargo

home investment property
I recently contacted wells fargo about getting a home loan for an investment property. Me and My wife were approved for the process and began paying appraisals and inspections and what not it came down to the last few weeks before closing and they said they couldent close because we had cash for the closing and 20 percent down.. I dont know but this seems like and unfair and illegal tactic that should be dealt with accordingly .. I had cash so I wasnt allowed to get a loan... These banks are nothing but scamers...

High interest rates on car loans
Car Purchased: 2003 Toyota Hylander When: September, 2005 Cost of the Vehicle at time of purchase ( cost + interest of 16%, approx. $43, 000.00 Duration: 72 Months I purchased this vehicle, with no money down, just my trade in Monthly Payments: $602.00 per month Warranty on the Hylander: 2000 miles or 3 months warranty Traded in at time of purchase a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu Cost Reminding on Vehicle at time of trade in: Approx. $10, 000.00 Length of time paying on this vehicle: 3 years How many late payments. 0 Reason for trade in of this vehicle, Fuel pump replacement costing over $300.00 dollars. Just one week prior to having this work done on this vehicle I had this vehicle serviced for the same problem in Orlando, FL. Cost: $300.00 paid with a credit card. The Fuel pump was under warranty but only where I had the work done at. I did not have any more money so I traded in this vehicle on the Toyota. My 2000 Malibu was a good running car and I know it was sold by Coggin Nissan at the Avenues for probably the same amount that it was traded in for. Yet I did not receive any money for this vehicle. When I called, several days later and spoke with one of the finance managers at Coggin Nissan at the Avenues on Phillips Hwy in Jacksonville, FL, and asked what happened to my old vehicle, they said they auctioned it off. I felt trapped, because I needed a car to go back and forth, I felt I should have been there while they were negotiating the price of my vehicle. My credit score at that time was average, and I had paid on the old car for three years, without missing any payments, I feel my interest rate should have been much lower than 16%.

Wells Fargo, sent me a payment book and which says my payments end in 60 months, but they're saying I have another year which will make it 72 months. The car had only 2000 miles warranty, I feel with this sort of payment I should not have to worry about fixing the car. I am a black single paren't, living from pay check to pay check, I would like an attorney to please advise me on an outcome for my situation. When I’ve tried to trade in this vehicle Iam told I owe to much on the vehicle and it can not be traded in, and if it does I would still have an extremely high car note.

Damage Resulting
I'm in a what they call a upside down situation, owed more on this vehicle than what it's worth. A car salesman told me the other day, the car is only worth $10, 000 dollars right now, and I owe payoff only $25, 000, and if I pay until the end of term, it's much more at 602.00 per month at a 16% interest rate, much to high, when I was making my payments on my old vehicle on time and had at that time a pretty good credit score.

The car that I've purchased with Coggin Nissan and is financing through Wells Fargo for 72 months, with no warranty except for 2000 miles, can not be traded in because I'm in what you call a upside down situation, amount owed on the vehicle now is more than the car is worth. Car is worth approx $10, 000 and I owe if payoff now, $25, 000.00 if I wait until the end of the term I'll would have paid them $43, 000.00 for a 2003 Hylander that I purchased when it was 2 years old with 47 thousand miles on it.

Refinance Freud
I applied for a refinance with Wells Fargo, (who holds my original loan) in April 2009. I did this to lock into a lower rate. Todays date is October 9th. Here is what is going on. After submitting all the paperwork, w-2's, bank statements, tax returns etc etc. Wells Fargo would always like a 1 more piece to the puzzle. This went on last week. I called the sect. of the President of Wells Fargo, Caroline Peterson, who is located in my corperate headquarters. 1.800.840.5812, her direct line. Caroline called me last Thursday night October 1 st to let me know that the loan was approved that night and my loan consultant Simone Carter will call us on Sat ( Oct 3rd ) with a closing date. Well Simone did call on Saturday, and said she still needs one more piece of information. I would like for all of us to call the attorney General, their local radio talk stations and prompt every one to call Caroline Peterson every day. We need to class action against this company who has received a stimulus package and not releasing monies or lower rates because they don not want to release that money. My number is 610.258.9285, I realize that giving my number is risky, but we need to team up and get our loans.

Billing Services
I have a mortgage through Wells Fargo (they purchased my mortgage from the original lender - typical). I have never recieved a payment coupon book, and my bill always arrives after the date that I owe a late fee and, if you do not have a checking account through them, you cannot pay on line. I made a complaint on line and they replied that in order to read their response, I need to set up an online account, which I can't do because I don't have a bank account with them. Wow, way to make it as hard as possible to pay my bill on time. With my experience with Wells Fargo, why would I want to put my money into their bank? Especially since I am very happy with my current bank (USAA rocks!). Well, they'll never see a late fee from me. Nice try, Wells Fargo, but you'll just have to recieve my check without an attached payment coupon. Hopefully they will actually read the account # at the bottom of the check.

Student Loan
DO NOT BANK WITH WELLS FARGO!! After hearing great things from a friend with a school loan through Wells Fargo, and parents with two mortgages through Wells Fargo, I decided to give it a try. I applied for a loan and was approved on my fair credit but only if I could find a reasonable co-signer. My parents dually applied with me with their great credit and we all got denied. I then tried to have my fiance co-sign, who was also denied. They told me no one gets that loan so I should try to get the other loan because it's much easier. So I sign up for the other which I still get approved for with a co-signer so again my parents co-sign and get denied..my fiance again as well..same story. This situation goes on for three other loans until I had it out with them and said enough is enough. The next day I received a voicemail from a representative at Wells Fargo who said their online credit machine had been tampered with and had been denying everyone's loan requests (regardless the type of loan) for the past month. I had really been approved these five times along with my co-signers and now our credit has been deeply affected, which they claim to be fixing. I thought the problem ended here...
When I call in to check the application status, I give my application number and then they ask for my social security number because they have accidently assigned the same application number to another person. They have even gone so far as shared 'Jamie' and 'Randy's' social security numbers with me because they were shocked that they had made this mistake. Which makes me wonder if Jamie and Randy now know my social... Everytime I call to check the status they say that I still need to provide income verification or I need to e-sign the application for my co-signers even though I have done both numerous times but they claim their server has been broken so I need to keep faxing verification. I decided I was done with them and I neglected answering one phone call from them and they called my home phone, cell phone, work phone, and my references phone number harassing everyone that I needed to provide all of these documents that I had already sent so many times. When I informed them of their error, I received no apologies but instead snotty attitudes and comments saying that I need to bear with them while they fix their computer. If I didn't need to go to school I would tell them exactly where to put it but unfortunately, I think this is going to be a long road of problems.
