Unethical Treatment to Employees & Customers
It’s amazing, when you think that you are the only one getting scammed by your bank, when in reality there are others out there, just like you. As you get curious and start digging up information, you come to realize that many feel the same. I have affiliates that are past employees of WF and have greatly agreed upon the fact that WF is so commercial, that customer service is just a front. They will tell you anything for you to sign on the dotted line, to abide by their uprising hidden costs, rates, and fees. I also have many friends (including myself), that have had bad experiences with this particular bank! From currency exchange problems to overly extensive overdraft fees! All they do is take your hard earned money! And with this crazy economy, this is the last thing that we need!! I have started a group through Facebook that is trying to draw in current Wells Fargo customers to close their accounts. We feel that this is the only way these banks will listen to the little guy! August 1st-8th, 2009, we are encouraging all current WF customers to DROP Wells Fargo as their bank! Please feel free to pass this message along! Via Facebook, Myspace, MSN Messanger, AIM Yahoo messanger, cell fone texting, email, etc!! Or visit our facebook event page at: http://www.facebook.com/grou p.php?gid=101773243399#/even t.php?eid=208261295639

TOTAL CRAP
I deal with B of A, but I got a part time job with a company that does not offer direct deposit and happens to bank with Wells Fargo. So, I started to go to Wells Fargo to cash my check, and every time I went in there they pushed VERY HARD for me to open an account with them. This one lady even told me that they would only cash my check if I paid a $5 fee since I did not have an acct with them.
So, one day, I must have been in a good mood or something because this nice young girl offered to open an acct for me in a not so overbaring manner and I decided that I would go ahead and open a checking acct just to be able to take my check card and cash my work check. (I had an acct with Wells Fargo for a few months about 7 years ago, so I asked the personal banker to make sure that there would be no conflict with the old acct. She supposedly varified my information and said that there was nothing in the system that said I had an acct with them.) So, I deposited about $700 to open the acct. 2 days later on a Friday 4th of July weekend, I went to withdraw some money, and they told me that there was a HARD HOLD on the acct because I had 2 accounts with conflicting social security numbers. I was sooooo pissed you don't even know. Nobody could tell me how it was possible to go from no record to 2 records. They made me get a letter from the social security administration to prove my identity to have it faxed to God knows where to get my money out.
I was screwed over the weekend. So, that next Monday I had a different banker call the center where my acct was opened, because I wanted to know what happened. It turns out that the stupid girl put in my social security # in wrong which raised a red flag. I'm still waiting for the hold to be lifted. DO NOT BANK WITH WELLS FARGO.

NSF Fees due to on hold deposits
I made a deposit to my account at a branch (in person) and was told on my deposit slip as well as from the teller that the deposit would be credited the next business day because it was in the morning. Well the bank screwed up and held it for 2 business days causing 13 NSF fees. The bank recredited my account however now every time I make a deposit that is not a direct deposit, those funds are on hold for two weeks due to too many NSF fees. I wasn't even notified of other deposits being on hold until 2 days later. Those holds were not properly notified at the time of deposit. Causing more NSFs. What crap. I can't wait to cancel my direct deposit and close out that bank accounts - which I have 3 with them.

Fraud and cheating
Wells Fargo Bank sold this consumer a loan product rife with opportunities for fraud by the contractor and HUD consultant, yet it provides no warnings or instructions to help consumer prevent this; furthermore, it fails to accept responsibility for the payments made without the proper city inspections. Then it expects the homeower to cover (and repay) the money lost to fraud - as well as pay for the additional work now required but not included as part of the original loan because the HUD consultant failed to do his job.
WFHM began paying off on a HUD 203K loan from job specs never seen nor signed by the homeowner, which was required. Furthermore, it paid out on electrical and plumbing work without the requisite city inspections, and now all that work must be redone because none was done to code.
The Job Specs were wrong from the start, yet the bank did nothing to ensure they were accurate, and the bank's role (according to the loan documents) is to protect the construction project. In this case, the job specs that dictate the work to be done on the house did not agree with the contractor proposal (unbeknownst to the homeowner, the contractor and HUD consultant were conspiring to defraud her).
The job specs are supposed to agree with the contractor proposal; when they don't, it's the bank's responsiblity to ensure they do. In this case, when the homeowner alerted the bank that they didn't (contractor began refusing to provide what was in his proposal, telling the homeowner he only had to provide what was on the 'job specs' and that his proposal was only a 'wish list'), the bank ignored her. Furthermore, when the bank finally did fax them to the homeowner (after the contractor was fired), it showed not only was the homeowner required to sign - but also to help prepare them. Additionally, right above where the homeowner signature is supposed to be is the statement about all section 1 items.
Almost all were excluded from the job. So now, with 2/3 of the money expended, nearly all the work must be redone - and there's additional work to be done because the HUD consultant did the work write up incorrectly from the start (the addition of the Section 1 items as well as a new roof).
I have made contacts with Senators and other legislators as well as with an attorney, which is costly. Meanwhile, my home has no kitchen (not one single appliance, countertop or cabinet); its electrical wiring is done backwards and in violation of even local electrical company codes; and I'm still waiting for the coldwater knob.

Unauthorized fees,
Wells fargo is harassing consumers with late charges and unauthorized fees when your vehicle lease ends.
My vehicle lease ended on 2/6/09 and I was advised by wells fargo to return car to Toyata Universe in NJ and there will be a $70.00 charge. I returned vehicle on 2/9/09. I was shocked when I got a bill of $2100.00 for wear and tear, Late Turn in fee & Turn in fee. Whereas the charge for late turn in is $20.00 a day.
I called Robin, lease end sales consultant on 6/22/09 and complained about the charges and she said that I have to pay no matter what.
First Wells fargo misguides and then sends a huge bills to pay.
Will the government please do something and protect consumer or do we have to pay this money to protect our credit???

refiance ripoff
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage you should be ashamed for allowing your represenatives to ruin your good name. I will never do business with your company again. As soon as I can I will pull my mortgage from your horrible company. They stole $400.00 dollars from me. This happened over the phone...they are calling thier customers to refiance existing loans for a huge amount. When I reviewd the initial estimate and what they had the nerve to put on paper I called to cancel. They are liar's and cheaters, they did nothing but send out a packet of papers...for this they deserve 400.00 good luck Wells Fargo...soon to be former customer. Gail Fardman. Illinois

Unauthorized withdrawal
I will agree that the account is overdue, but Wells Fargo took a payment from my checking account without my permission and it set me back about $800.00. I am without any money this week because once my check was deposited in the bank, the overdraft fees ate it all. Then I had to go get money from somewhere else to deposit so funds would be there to cover transactions that were already scheduled to come out. They wouldn't even try to expediate the return so I wouldn't incur anymore overdrafts. I am literally broke this week and there is no food in my house and I will have to borrow money to get to work next week. Wells Fargo is full of it.
