Short Sale incompetency
Somebody needs to get the Feds looking into this.
We processed a Short Sale with Wells Fargo for 2 months with us making weekly calls in to them. Then they suddenly claimed that they had this file labeled as a Loan Modification and not a Short Sale that whole time and we had to start over at the beginning.
I think they're lying.
Weekly for 2 months asked about the SHORT SALE. So, either they are complete morons or they are lying. I can't believe they are that incompetent unless the incompetency is intentional.
Moreover, we now had the exact same experience with another bank. I'm thinking the banks found some sort of loophole in the short sale laws and are exploiting it to give themselves more time.

Stole my money
I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for over a couple of years. I make normal deposits, with the normal direct deposit. I have my husband and I on a checking and savings account, my daughter a teen checking account, and our two boys cash cards; all are linked to my account. I went to the store on Saturday (day before Easter) and my card was denied, I kept trying all the others one linked to this account. I checked my balance via my mobile and money was in bank. I called customer service and I was told that all my cards and account were closed. I worried of course and called the fraud department because I am scared of someone hacking into my account. I could not believe what I heard. I spoke with three people in accounts and they were all supervisors and managers. I was told that I had two checks that I deposited (received from other people) that bounced and because this happened, they closed my accounts. After further discussing the issue with the three people, they finally all three said, "your account is closed, the money will not be returned until 10 working days from that day, and Wells Fargo no longer wants you as a customer." I SWEAR, up and down, this is exactly what was told to me. My money is still locked with these people, all the bills that were submitted were kicked back, and I am not allowed to touch my money with them until they have decided that my account transactions have been cleared. OH and of course, my three children did not get to celebrate Easter the way we always do. I will never, ever, use Wells Fargo for anything and I am passing the word of just how crooked they are to my friends, family, and to who ever reads this.

Fee foe honoring a check
My child was given a $5 birthday present by his grandmother via a check drawn on Wells Fargo. We walked into the Wells Fargo across the street on the way to the mall to cash it only to learn that there would be a $5 fee!

My bank, First Republic, would NEVER stoop this low!

cashing my uneployment check
I went to cash my unemployment check at my bank Wells Fargo. Then i was told that i can not cash my check because its not a Wells Fargo check ! I was depending on this check for cash i am unemployed and its for food for my kids but they said no they can't ! The teller told me she was following company policy. I even have a checking acct with them and they still cant cash the check this check i an unemployment check by edd !!! then i talk to her supervisor and she all said the same thing !! they said i needed to deposit the check and it would clear tomorrow. they gave 20 $ until tomorrow and this is a goverment check ! Then i asked for a complaint form they did not have any forms complaints. Then i ask to talk to the general manager of the bamk and he was to busy to talk to me about my issue i waited for about 15 to 20 min and no help i ask an employee for the managers business card he went in and he came out and told me that the manager did not have any busniess cards. So i did not get one . i believe he did not want to give me his card and not deal with me

Closed Account
I has just recently about 2 months ago opened and account with Wells Fargo. I wanted to have another bank account as a back up. Big mistake. I deposited a check into my account. I did not know that the check would be returned. Not my fault. I immediately called and asked what do I need to do regarding this check because I didn't want it to messed up my account. They told me, they place a hold on the check and try to redeposit it. Well if it didn't go through once more and likely it wouldn't go through the next time and I didn't want to pay any more fees on that check. So I asked is there anything else I could do and they told me no there was nothing. Then about 3 days later I received a letter saying as long as my account was not overdrawn they would just mail the check back and charge me a one time return fees of $12.00. Which was fine with me. I was in the drive of my bank yesterday trying to make a deposit and was told I needed to come inside because the deposit couldn't be made. The teller said there was a strong hold placed on my account but didn't know why. We called the 1-800# and I was told my account was in the process of being closed. When I asked why they said because of a retruned check. I explained it wasn't my check and how was I suppose to know it would come back. I also made good on the check and paid all the N.S.F fees and was told in a letter that everything would be fine. So they gave me the # for lost pervention . Lost Prevention said there was nothing they could do the decsion was final. So I asked them what will happen with my direct deposit I had just set up and my bill pays. All they told me was I need to call them because the account is going to be closed period. When I asked aren't you suppose to send a letter to customer s advising them of this fact he told me the account is not closed yet but in the process but I can't do anything with the account so that seems closed to me. Then he also informed me that a letter would be coming stating these facts. a little to d... late I'm afraid I already had one bill returned and who knows when I will get my check now. Thanks for nothing Well Fargo. One of the worst banks every. I really wish our country would stop bailing out the people who are ripping us off and causing us hardships. The banks are making it harder and harder to have acconts with all these fees for everything. Some banks charge a maintenance fees just to have and account.

Overdrawn account( in error)
I recently bank with Wachovia however due to whatever reasons Wachovia is now a division with WELLS FARGO. The conversion went in effect April 15, 2011- April 18, 2011. During this time I made debit card purchases the days of the 11th through the 13th. These purchases I made were taken from my account immediately. My account balance shown these transactions were taken out or put on hold (whichever it was they showed it was taken from my account). On April 18, 2011 when Wachovia converted to WELLS FARGO I had a balance of -$55.00. I called the WELLS FARGO and talked to a rep that was VERY sarcastic and rude. I explained that there may be an error because the money was taken from my account she then told me I was calling her a liar because on her end of the computer it shows the information was correct. NEVER once did she consider mistakes happen and listen to what I had to say. Instead she insists on telling me what she knows and that was that. * Note I have a money market account, Primary Savings, and WAY2SAV account. I banked with Wachovia for 3 years and NEVER had I went through this. Wachovia was a great banking company whom I had no problems with. Now that WELLS FARGO has priority I have closed all my accounts. They lost out on a good customer in which I will Never return.

got ripped off
i purchased a home threw a fha loan, paid 1000.00 good faith deposit.
395.00 apraisle, 325 inspection had got insurance and the unerwrighter got games asking me to go back to my trustee after getting approval from court for a house 139, 900 which was what i choise and closings in a week now they say i get nothing back.this came out of my daughters backpay that they stole tecnically because my daughter didnt get a roof over her head with this purchase and she is dissabled???illegal illegal illegal.

Online Billpay
Wells Fargo Online Bill pay stinks!!! Accounts transferred this week from Wachovia to Wells Fargo. I scheduled payments to go out on pay day and Wells Fargo takes the money out 3 to 5 days before the date you scheduled. Do they really think people read all the ridiculous paperwork that they send? I couldn't even see their bill pay system until today-yep-too late to reschedule my payments-yep money pulled out too soon- yep overdraft. First Day with Wells Fargo and SUPER DISSATISFIED. Customer Service was no help. Nothing they can do.

The worst bank in US
The worst bank in America, a total rip off. I forgot to make a payment on my credit card so they called me. I gladly decided to arrange a payment on a specific date. I asked the customer representative at least 5 times about the available balance after I make the payment. She assured me that once I make the payment, the very next I'd be able to use the card again. Guess what? The payment went through last night and today my credit card account has been closed. I called the customer service and the representative said he could only apologize for misinforming me. Not just one but 2 more reps lied to me and fooled me to make a payment and never disclosed the fact that my account would be closed once the payment goes through.
That's not it. They have charged me at least $5000 in fines and charges since I have opened an account with them. Isn't there any law that could teach them a lesson? Does Wells Fargo only serve rich people? Is it not a bank for middle class or middle-lower class?
Shame on you Wells Fargo, I pity your business ethics. How many more people will have to suffer to get this freaking bank closed? So glad they lost the law suit last year for the over draft fees case.
A request to all the readers: Please do not bank with them. Close your Wells Fargo Accounts. Let them go bankrupt, let them suffer too.

Poor Customer Service
problem date: 04/14/11
Customer Service Supervisor Justin Mayes and female csr who would not give me her name. I found the customer service I received to be extremely unprofessional and atrocious. I filed a claim because there are fraudulent charges on one of my accounts, when I spoke to the female csr she was aloof and soon became combative when I asked for further explanation of the claims process. She put me on hold for at least 5 minutes and when she came back I asked to speak with a supervisor she gave me my claim number so quickly that I could not confirm if I recorded it correctly, as well as disregarded the instructions I had requested for the claims department to call me on my cell phone so I could hook up my fax and receive the proper paperwork to file my claim. She then proceeded to put me on an immediate hold for approximately 5 seconds and then proceeded to hang up on me. When I called back I reached a csr named Alex who was very nice and apologized on behalf of the female csr and said that he does not hang up on his customers. after I confirmed my claim number with him I requested, again, to be transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor I spoke to was completely apathetic and after I told him what happened his reaction to the situation was that of indifference. I told him I am considering moving my business to another bank, as well as pointed out that I have been a loyal customer since 1997. His response was "Is this your first bad experience you have with Wells Fargo's customer service?" to which I responded that this was not my first bad customer service experience I had received from Wells Fargo. Supervisor Justin Mayes said "Well if you would like to switch banks that is your choice" I asked him if Wells Fargo was even interested in keeping my business and he, again, told me it was up to me but there is nothing more he can do for me. I am so upset by this horrible customer service experience and absolutely appalled that a business would blatantly disregard a long-time customer, such as myself, if this is the type of customer service and behavior of their csr's and supervisors that they deem acceptable then I will choose to move my business and recommend that my family and friends move their business elsewhere.
