harrassment calls
I WILL NEVER EVER TAKE OUT A LOAN WITH WELLS FARGO. THEIR INTEREST RATES ARE TOO DOGGONE HIGH. THEY EVEN HAVE A PRIME RATE IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER FINANCE CHARGES. i OWED #4000, 00 WHEN I TOOK OUT THE LOAN 2 YEARS AGO AND I STILL OWE $4000.00 2 YEARS LATER AND I DON'T EVEN USE THE CARD BECAUSE I CLOSED THE ACCOUNT 2 YEARS AGO. i WILL BE GLAD WHEN I TRANSFER THIS CARD TO ANOTHER BANK, LET ALONE THE CONSTANT CALLS FROM THEIR IGNORANT EMPLOYEES WHO CALL ONE AFTER THE OTHER WITH THE SAME QUESTIONS ON "DO YOU WANT TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS" AFTER YOU HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE 5TH TIME ON THE SAME DAY! THIS COMPANY IS A RIPPOFF AND ARE NOTHING MORE THAN LOAN SHARKS. I AM PAYING THESE SUCKERS OFF BEFORE I OWE $40, 000.00! THEY NEED TO SHUT THIS BANK DOWN!

Bad service
In July we made 2 payments (a few weeks apart) to cover our bill for both July and August since we were going out of town. When we got back in late August, Wells Fargo had sent our account to collections for missed payment. When I called they refused to talk to me as the account was under my husband's name. He called in and authorized me to everything on the account. When I asked about our account being in collections when we'd NEVER missed a payment and had in fact made 2 payments in July, they said they don't except 2 payments in one billing cycle (yet their website does not allow you to set a different payment date). They said I can make another payment by phone for $10 and they would refund the late fee. If I don't pay by phone they will charge interest and late fee (we have same as cash until Dec 2009 ). Today, I called back to check on the account and they said I'm not authorized. Apparently the authorization my husband gave was only good for their "collections" dept and he has to call back. He called right back and they were closed (she didn't bother to tell me they were closing when I told her he would call right now.)
DO NOT BORROW MONEY FROM WELLS FARGO!!!
If they will screw with their good borrowers (we have an excellent credit report) then they are an unethical company looking for nothing more than getting rich of the average borrower.

Overcharged
I too had small debits from a Friday come through on Tuesday with a large check. I should have had 1 NSF fee, but they always manage to make it look like all charges came through the same day and charge you 6 NSF fees. I have sent my complaint to the Office of the Controller of Currency. Don't know how they can get away with it.
I had fraudulent charges on my account 3 weeks ago, and they have just now resolved that issue with items returned and huge late fees. When I asked how they can return items when the problems is still trying to be resolved, I got the answer of "Well, the system doesn't understand". What idiots.

Non stop harrassing phone calls
Ever since I took a loan out with Wells Fargo I have been getting these harassing phone calls that start at 8:15 in the morning and continue til 9:30 in the evening. This goes on 7 days a week and on Holidays!! I have spoken to them and every month when I tell them when I have mailed each payment and they tell me that they will make a note of it in their system, then the very next day I get another phone call from a different person and when I tell them the persons' name and extension that I spoke with the previous day they tell me "it doesn't really matter because they are on an automated system so they can't control who to call and who not to call". Then when I have a current account with them I still get a phone call from them asking me if I would like to refinance my loan with them. I have a home daycare center and I have told them that if this continues they are going to cause me to file for bankruptcy because I can't be answering phone calls every few minutes of every day when I need to be focusing my attention on the children! I have already tried changing my phone number, but somehow they got the new number and started their harassing phone calls all over again.

Harassment
Wells Fargo Collections, as an agent of Raymour and Flanigan, makes abusive and harassing phone calls. They call at dinner, on Sundays, and insist on debriefing you, regardless of your credit or payment status. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was advised there was none available. Then, when I got one, Craig, he was obnoxious and abusive. He intimated I was responsible for the abusive phone calls, in spite of the fact that I had already paid. I am tempted, since I own my home and don't need credit, to default on my loan just to anger them.
Do not buy from Raymour and Flanigan because of their bank Wells Fargo!!

Scam and cheating
Wells Fargo reported us incorrectly to 3 credit reporting company's that we were 90 day's past due on on mortgage, after we had paid our mortgage account off in FULL! The date the loan was satisfied was in May 2008, but yet they reported us 90 day's late in June 2008... impossible. When calling, the local office, they stated they could not help us and referred us to the home office, 1 hour later and many different customer rep's later, we were told they could not help us and we must submit a written letter to the credit dispute team and await their investigation before they could correct it, up to 30 days.
The problem... we sold our house and paid off the loan and are trying to purchase a new home, however because of this 90 day's INCORRECT report on WFF behalf, we are being denied the loan and good interest rate, and may even lose our chance of purchasing the home because of their uncooperative manner in dealing with their mistake. All we need is a letter stainf tis was a mistake and being corrected and we could get the loan - THY WON'T DO IT! We have submitted the letter and reported it to all 3 credit companies that we need to dispute this matter, urgently.
I will pursue this legally in the event we lose the house purchase because of this. I think this is horrible service and will never do business with WFF in any matter. Not only have they made a mistake which hurt's our credit, they are holding us hostage and are not willing to make any effort to help us. If you are thinking of doing business with WFF - DON'T.

Terrible experience
2 years ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer, we thought we had Death and Disability Ins. on the home we were buying, NOT! The gal that wrote the paper's up on our home 2 years earlier, was so busy getting ready to go on her free vacation she won from Wells Fargo, (for signing the most sales up), she forgot to add the D&D Ins. in, then when we had to file on the Ins. she said it wasn't available, but it was now. How Convenient (SHE LIED). Now, I am totally disable and I have been turned down for the Disability Ins. on the Wells Fargo Visa. They said I had to work at least 3 months before filing for my disability? (Social Security Disability?)

Scam and theft
We have been dealing with ASC for over a year. August last year they actually prevented us from refinancing our house by falsely reporting we were more than 4 months behind on our house payments. We hit a rough spot because my husband is a disabled Viet Nam Veteran. While he's been waiting to receive his benefits from the VA we fell behind. Earlier this year ASC/Wells Fargo gave us a forbearance where as we paid over $5, 000.00 initially then after making 3 payments over a 3 month time our loan was to go automatically in for modification. The time for that came and passed without a word from them. I noticed on the monthly statement that the payment we sent apparently was not applied to the interest and loan but rather placed in a suspense account. The last 2 months payments were returned to us without "any" explanation what so ever. In the meantime my husband is working with the local housing authority to get the modification done. Now get this. Saturday we receive a letter from Northwest Trustee's telling us that we owe over 12, 000.00 and that the house will be sold on December 19th and then today we get paper work from Wells Fargo for another forbearance which at the end has a balloon payment of over 12, 000.00. OK, call me fish if we do another payment plan with them to only end in foreclosure. This outfit is one of the culpritsw that are the cause of this multimillion dollar bail out the feds are trying to workout. Nothing is going to fix our economy or the housing/mortgage industry until they put and end to this kind of crap. No one should have to put up with this. If the banks were regulated like they were before the 1980's this sort of thing could not happen. We are continuing to work with the housing authority. We are also waiting to see what our senate and congress are putting together and if it will put an end to this situation. By the way, Wells Fargo keeps telling my husband they don't want our house because they have so many empty ones they can't unload. They have a weird way of showing that. It really ticks me off that our mortgage was sold to them early on. Wells Fargo is one of many of the very predatory mortgage lenders out there. I would strongly suggest that no one takes them on without the aid from their local housing authority. Apparently this will work out. It takes time to work through all the game playing. I'm just not sure I can handle it in the meantime.

Scam charges
Wells Fargo is a terrible bank in my opinion. If you are banking with them you may want to reconsider. If you are not banking with them but you are considering doing so, you may want to think about this a little more. This is a very low quality customer service bank. It is very unpersonal and does not care about its customers at all. Furthermore, they are quite dishonest. They stolen out of my account over $800.00 simply because my step-son's account got overdrawn. My step son is an adult. I have no control over his actions or over his account. I had no access to his account or knowledge of the status of that account. They claim that because I allowed my wife to have access to my account and because she had also access to my step-son's account that somehow these two accounts are linked or related. Total nonsense. This bank is a total scam!!!
