Wells fargo has been computer harassing my friend repeatedly every 1- 2 hours everyday!!! home than work than cell phone. He talked to a real person that he was having some problems..this is his first time being late...but the calls keep coming starting early in the morning...ALL DAY LONG!...He hates them and we are looking for another band etc...Who should I report this harassment to???Wachovia is in big trouble if this is how they treat people..Shame on you Wells Fargo..there is nothing WELL about you, , , and you have FAR to GO knowing how to treat people!

This email was in my inbox this morning. For those who may not know, Wells Fargo Bank is a very large bank in the Western part of the United States, but they are expanding across the country. I do not bank with Wells Fargo, yet the scam artists who created it don't know that.
The scam works like this, the potential victim receives an email stating their online banking is blocked, and needs to be resolved. The victim is then redirected via a link provided in the email to a "fake Wells Fargo site" (this is called "phishing" in the cyber world of crime), where they are instructed to enter an online ID and password.
Once this information has been entered, the scam artists now have your personal online banking information, if you are a Wells Fargo customer.
The following is the letter I received:

Spoke with Hanna (Lorraine) in foreclosure dept, wells fargo, 2/25/2011, and she said, anyone who applies for a modification and does not fit, is put into foreclosure. Got that? If things are rough, don't cry to Wells Fargo, because it is decided as soon as you apply whether or not to foreclose. Then check your credit report, If Wells Fargo won't tell you they own your mortgage, your credit report will.

I would like to speak to the Associated Press writer---I am assembling alist of complaints and violations thatWells Fargo has committed for a lawsuit.
I have been going up the chain incommand to get feedback and comments about their HAMP fraud.
I am now at Mark Elliot a VP atWells Fargo.
Last time I spoke to Ken Olsen an executive under him.
I am escalating my complaints in preparation for mass litigationthru one of the courts.
Iam organizing homeowners for a mass protest thru the court system.
It is designed to overwelm the legal resources of Wells Fargo
with hundreds and thousands of smaller lawsuits.
If everyone who put in an appilcation sued Wells Fsrgo it would be something like 900, 000 to 3 million.
In the small claims court alone they would be overwelmed and unable to constuct business
They would have to settle out of court because of the purevolumeof lawsuits.
After that we take allthe homeonwers and sue in the bigger court for billions.

Wells Fargo is quite possibly the worst company I've ever had to deal with. While trying to get my student loans put on deferment or forbearance I was given the run around so many time it literally made me sick. Each time I called with the SAME question I got different answers or a little more information than the last time I called. I truly believe the company is having its customer service employees tell its customers half of what they need to know. Usually if you call a company and have a complaint or are having a hard time with something they will work with you. No, not Wells Fargo. I was literally crying on the phone because I was so frustrated with being lied to given the run around and all the customer service rep would do was offer to help me pay my bill over the phone. My payments are so high I am literally choosing between paying this loan and buying food. For fear of becoming delinquent on my student loan, it wins and food doesn't. Wells Fargo makes me sick and if I could re-do anything in my life I would NEVER have chosen Wells Fargo to be my lender for my college tuition.
