Hash: SHA1 I purchased two tickets for "The Black Eyed Peas" for a performance at the "Wembley Arena" in the UK. Upon arrival to the venue, I was informed that the arena is a completely non smoking venue. If I attended the concert, I could not smoke and no facilities were available to smoke in-side or outside of the venue. If we entered and left to smoke I would be refused re-admittance. If I had been presented with this information at the point of purchasing the tickets for the event, I would not have done so. I complained to "Keith Prowse Ticketing" and informed them that as we purchased the tickets through their agency I believe that it is their responsibility to inform their customers of the restrictions in place, especially as this is not yet UK Law and it is not unreasonable to expect a venue to provide smoking facilities on the premises or off. I was told that "Keith Prowse Ticketing" are not able to refund my money, the conditions of the venue are not under their control and the fact that the venue is non-smoking is not information any ticket agent is required to advise customers of at the time of the booking. I am not well versed in the particular legislative regulations that ticketing agents have to comply with, but as a consumer and someone who feels very cheated by one, I find the fact that "Keith Prowse Ticketing" does not have to disclose pertinent information, such as venue restrictions that could affect a lot of their customers, ridiculous. I sincerely hope that if nothing else comes from my complaint, that "Keith Prowse Ticketing" takes it upon themselves to ensure that they do include this information in the future. Especially now, as they are very aware that they have cheated at least one of their customers out of their money. As I have stated I am not well versed in legislation pertinent to the operation of ticketing agents, so I will be seeking advice from relevant sources in regards to what options are available to me. I intend to pursue this matter until I am presented with a satisfactory resolution and appropriate resolution to my complaint. I have registered my complaint with the "Office of Fair Trading" and hope that anyone reading this: a) Does not use "Keith Prowse Ticketing" for any service that they offer, steer well clear.
b) Contacts me with any information in regards to possible avenues that I can pursue. [dave at northern dash monkee dot co dot uk] Hope this helps someone.
