i was promised a loan of £1000.00
they took £59.00 from my bank
received letter asking for wage slips and a bill to prove my ID
i send all paperwork and still have not received a reply it is 15/09/10
and sent paperwork of 30/07/10 7 weeks ago
i wish to cancel all loan applications and apply for a refund

i authorised this company to take 59.00 from my account and found out they had took 118.00 from my account instead i have put it in writing twice now stating i want my money returned but to no avail i have rang the number and only to be 28th in the queue at 9.30am in the morning and 26th in the queue at 5pm at night !! i have had the phone put down on me and told to put it in writing again i have enclosed my bank statement showing that they have had my payment twice not once so it is fraud i want my 118.00 returned and no longer want there services please help as it meant i also incurred bank charges caused by the other missing 59.00 which i didnt authorise many thanks mrs caroline thompson

i applied to wentowrth direct finance in july they said i have got the loan but nothing happened after that and i paid them £59 pounds and am only 18.

i applyed for the loan 2 month ago ive paid all the upfont fees and 50 pound monthly payment guard fee and still no loan received cant gt through on phone. the loans was for wedding as we are in low income wedding on aug need the loan asap could u try and help please. i will have to go to citizens advise and write to sunday post for some kind of help.

I am now another victim of the Wentworth Direct Finance Loan application fee scam. I could kick myself for giving my card details to these b...tards in the first place. I immediately cancelled my card which has been an inconvenience and brought the matter up with my bank who informed me that I should never give out my card details to anyone. I feel like a complete naive idiot.

What surprises me is that this scam has been going on for a long time. Some of the dates on the various website threads are really quite old. I can't believe that such a blatant scam is still allowed to continue. Wentworth management should be well behind bars by now. Years later and thousands possibly millions of pounds better off they are still at it. Ripping candidates off with their expensive phone line, possibly selling your contact details on as well as illegally taking fees off applicants.

This is the sort of thing one would expect in a place like Nigeria, but UK?!!!.

I have informed watchdog and about to contact OFT and Ombudsman.

I can only say that the more people who file complaints with these organisations then the more chances that something will be done.

I would be willing to kiss goodbye to my £59 just to see these Wentworth lot put away along with all who are associated with them.

To all those who have been ripped off by these scum, don't just winge about it.
