I applied twice for a marketing company named Wentworth Inc. in Atlanta, a marketing company that known for its sales and client acquisition. The first time I applied through HotJobs.com in January, I received a phone call the next day and the company representative said they wanted to do an interview tomorrow. I informed the representative that I could not come in because of a prior engagement in which I had to be somewhere on the same day and since they would not accept my response as an answer; they decided that they would not give me an interview.
The second time I applied in May through the companies website, I got a phone call informing me that they wanted an interview. I received the telephone call later at night since I was attending events during that day. I called the company up in morning and the representative said to me that all positions were filled up. What I do not understand is, “How can all the positions get filled up in just a 24 hour period?”
This company is not compassionate towards the applicants who apply for their company. They want you to come in on their schedule and will not be flexible to your schedule. If you say you cannot come in for an interview due to a prior engagement or if your call the very next day to schedule an interview, they will not give you an interview. At least most places I have applied for understand if you cannot come into for an interview the very next day, but this company wants you to come in when they ask you to come in for an interview and if you say NO in any given way, shape or form, they just show no interest in seeing if you are a good candidate for their company and I do not plan to apply for Wentworth Inc. again in the future since they have no compassion for their prospective applicants to do not say “I can come in for an interview tomorrow.”
