Okay. I'm back after a one-week vacation, but I haven"t finished my complaint yet...I still need to get the word out...and well, vent!
When dealing with difficult situations involving Alzheimers patients it's important to help each other out...a popular and useful activity known as Teamwork. Well, apparently the PM Shift
Employees don't believe in the spirit and usefulness of Teamwork (Except Rosa and Sephora)...it's like an unwritten code!
Also, isn't it a Manager/Supervisors" Role to demonstrate the correct way of doing things before sending a new employee out into the Jungle? Isn't that why they get paid a lot more than $9 per hour?
Also, isn't it important to be fair and just and listen to both sides of the story from employees before deciding to fire another employee simply based on hearsay? Well, that's exactly what my employer did...and she wouldn't even tell me what so-called accusations were shared with her..instead she couldn't accept any constructive criticism or suggestions for improvement and fired me for no apparent or clearly stated reason...talk about insecurity! No wonder why she never smiled or praised our efforts! She was too consumed with her own shortfalls and too unhappy to create a positive and productive environment!
Well, no great loss for me, that's for sure. I'll get another job where I am treated like a professional with respect, consideration and kindness! As for having an incentive to stay with the company...well I know for a fact that one very hardworking employee received an 18 cent raise after working for three full years...her first raise ever...No that is truly pathetic and it even sounds illegal and all I can say is "Shame on you"...Most of the Administrators probably wouldn't last one full week working in Maintenance, The Laundry Room or as a Personal Care Attendant!
Okay..so now you know the truth about the overall atmosphere created by The Administrators at Oakdale Heights...and it's truly a shame because not only do the Residents deserve the best personal care both socially, physically and emotionally...but the Employees deserve to be treated much better so that they can all be more productive and feel more successful throughout their professional and personal lives!!
God Bless the Freedom of Speech Act in this great country of ours...and be warned...until the employers start respecting everyone at Oakdale Heights, please do not support them by sending your dearly beloved parent/relative/friend..look elsewhere. Thank-you!
