Oakdale Heights Administrators only care about making a profit rather than treating their Hard-working and grossly-underpaid Employees with respect and consideration. The Residents are cared for by respectful, hard-working employees who break their backs to provide for the Residents'' every need and they don''t even earn a decent living wage!

Without the Employees this Assisted-Living Senior Facility would completely crumble but I was treated as a second-class citizen in a rude and disrespectful fashion. After almost 6 months of hard work I was fired. however the Administrators wouldn't even give me a valid reason. They only knew that I had been on Medical Leave and missed a lot of work due to a back problem I suffered on the job and that I was a Whistleblower on some inappropriate and illegal activities that had taken place...Well, in order to maximize their profit and minimize cost they discharged me without giving me sufficient notice.

My supervisor was never present in the Memory Care Unit and seemed to favor writing me up for clocking out too late (12 minutes to be exact) )and after working 7 hours straight, I was thirsty and sat down to have a drink (after the Residents had left the Dining Hall...well, there are rats who think that they will chalk up points by reporting that to a Supervisor. I dno't stroke other people's egos. Instead I provided comfort to Residents with Dementia...and provided friendship to those who ere lonely, sad and frustrated at times. Well, I was told that I talked to them too much and I was given a 5-minute limit! I guess they just wanted me to only care for their physical needs and not take care of their emotional needs at all! Sometimes I worked for 7 hours without a break or I didn't have my lunch break until 6 or 7 hours of work...and a few times I was called in for the morning shift after working 8 hours on the PM. shift..also quite illegal!

How productive can the employees be when they are treated so poorly and are forced to sit on broken and dirty chairs during their lunch break! I'm just getting started on the poor and very negative atmosphere that they created, so please do not feed their hungry appetites with anymore Residents..you will only be sorry as you won't get the type of service that their high fees should warrant!
