The Westside Pavillion in Los Angeles has the worst parking situation of any shopping mall I have ever been to. There used to be an option to pay for valet parking for a flat rate of $3.00 under Nordstroms, but a new valet service has been hired which charges up to $15.50 for the pleasure of shopping there.

Management of the Westside Pavillion (including Nordstrom) who made this selfish decision didn't take into account that customers, like me, would take their money elsewhere. I feel particularly badly for elderly customers who are not eligible for handicapped parking and must deal with this parking situation. I see elderly people regularly throughout the mall, as they often come to Nordstrom or other restaurants in the mall to have lunch with their friends.

I also feel badly for young mothers with children in baby strollers. Shame on management at the Westside Pavillion, including Nordstrom, for making such a greedy parking decision. You are definitely biting the hands that feed you, and from the feedback that I got from other patrons in the mall the last and final time I was there, (customers were being very vocal with sales clerks about the new parking rates) we will all be shopping elsewhere where parking is more readily available and valet parking fees are more reasonable.
