We moved into the apartments and were told that we were not allowed to have pets of any sort. When we moved in we found out that there is a "companionship" dog above us, which is owned by the landlord. We were not aware of any allowances other than needed service animals. For the past two months, we have had to listen to this dog run around every morning, throughout the day, and sometimes at night. We cant file a noise complaint, as it is the landlord's, and when requested there was a smart comment back that it is a companionship pet.
At this point we were so frustrated that we called the management company, to only find out that they were unwilling to assist us as there is nothing that they could do. At that point we filed our 30 day noticed, and now we feel that we are being treated rudely. Our latest incident was on Dec. 16th, where we hear pounding on the ceiling. After 3 times of hearing this about a minute apart from each other we go upstairs to investigate on what is going on. There is a do not disturb sign for any reason posted on the door of the landlord, but since it was coming from her room, i knocked. She doesnt answer the door but yells out "who is it?" I answered Foster. She opened the door and i asked if there was some sort of issue. She replies that she has been getting noise complaints from others about us constantly. I said that I felt that there is a more proper and appropriate way to solve the issue than just pounding on the floor. She said she doesnt want to hear how to do her business at 11:00 at night. I was shocked that she would say something like that, as this behavior is uncalled of. I said something as simple as a phone call would work too, and she replies that she doesnt try calling anymore because we never answer our phones, which i explain that I will when possible, but the most recent times I cannot because I am in my college classes or at work whenever she calls, and am physically unable to answer. We continue to talk for a short period longer and end with her saying that we need to turn down the sound, and I agree to do such and walk away.
The rudeness that we have received while being here from the management is unheard of. I have never lived anywhere and received such bad customer service. I am shocked that this company will allow the management to work and do business in this manner.
