For the last 4-5 months, the refrigerator door open warning audio alarm has been sounding continuously
For the last 4-5 months, the refrigerator door open warning audio alarm has been sounding continuously, even when the door is closed. I had registered numerous complaints with the Vizag dealer, the latest being Ref No. 1022 dated 9/06/07. When the defect first occured, the refrigerator was under warranty which has since lapsed on 30/05/07. I have sent numerous e mails to the head office of Whirlpool India in Mohan Nagar, at least 15 e mails. Not one response has been received from the head office or any response from their dealer in Vizag.

Poor customer service/after sales service
I want to bring to the notice about the poor customer service/after sales service that Whirlpool offers. I bought a refrigerator one and a half years back and after 6 months of purchase it stopped cooling! After calling the customer service for around 7-8 days and then talking to someone at the Corporate Office, some engineers came and refilled the gas. And exactly after one year the same thing has happened, no cooling! And currently I am in the middle of the same cycle, of having called the customer service and the corporate office but of no use.
I just need a replacement of my refrigerator to at least enjoy some cool drinks this summer. Please suggest what needs to be done.

My parents being old and infirm have been harassed for no fault of theirs
Despite numerous complaints my Parents residing at Hyderabad have had no sucess in convincing the company to replace the faulty piece which goes bad every 2 or 3 months. Despite the piece being within the gurantee period the mechanics always cheat my parents out of large sums of money. My parents being old and infirm have been harassed for no fault of theirs.

Quality NOT TESTED/ 2nd Quality
I purchased a Refrigerator (Whirl Phool 310 DLS Professional Titanium) but there is NO PEACE OF MIND because within 15 days I noticed that there was NO cooling, I complaint to the customer service the person came and gave me false advice that “we have kept more cooling that’s why the freezer got choked and ice has formed” he told switch off the refrigerator and later restart it” off course we did not agree on that but still we tried, again the same problem was occurring. I complaint again on 25.6.2010, the service personal came and later on identified that the problem was “self-defrost system” he rectified that. Again I noticed that there was no cooling at all and complaint, this time I asked to replace the Refrigerator, because within one month no customer will be happy repairing the fridge n- number of times. Moreover we cannot use the Refrigerator, since many time the milk was getting spoilt and my children are dependent on milk now we have to store milk in the freezer and in emergency we cannot use the milk as it is freezed.
I am really frustrated that again the service personal want to repair the Refrigerator, we are scared to use the Refrigerator for the purpose it was purchased.
I had an LG Refrigerator which was working fine but only for the capacity requirement I purchased from Whirl phool, now I feel that I have been duped by the Dealer.
I sincerely request the customers to go through the web site to get enough information on the product and decide to buy it. Because INDIA is the country where CHEATING is encouraged.

extremely poor AmC service
Extremely poor AMC service . I had given complaint about semi automatic washing machine, complaint no MB07090 14505 .A call is closed without attending it ? How is it possible? No latest updated or mob no of Area managers . The no given was not in use.

Worst Products & Crap Customer Service
I had bought a Window AC from a dealer in Dwarka about a month and a half ago . My pain started the moment I switched over to Whirlpool from Hitachi ( Best AC company ) . Its been more then a month that no one ever visitied/called/cared to give me any demo . I had to got my AC installed from pvt mecahnics in the Area and they helped me understandning the junk mecahnics.
After a while I discovered that I was shown Elite model but sold Premier modle as said by the dealer that both are the same products.
Its not just only . My worst nightmare started 2 days back when my Brand New AC stopped working and for the last 2 days I'm praying to the god that it start working.
In continuation, I called up customer service as well but they said talk to the dealer and they can't help it. Also when I insisted them to take an action against the dealer and help get my money back the guy on the phone " GOPAL " this morning said Aap jara dhang sey baat kijiye and banged the phone on my face.
Please can some one help.

NON RECOGNITION OF EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN & SUBSEQUENTLY CHARGING FOR REPAIR
I have purchased whirlpool washing machine 6th Sense, Model no.7230 on 07.04.04 bearing sl. no.INB040303429 from Pramanik Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Haldia Township Haldia-721607 . It has 2 years warranty plan, i have also taken 3 years additional peace of mind service plan so in totality 5 years warranty plan which will be valid upto 06.04.09. But at Gandhidham Authorised service centre has charged me Rs2400/- for repair on 19.01.09 & not recognizing 3 years Additional peace of mind plan Reg. Form no. CPO4, sl no. 157244 issued at Haldia. kidly help me so that my 3 years additional peace of plan may be recognised at Gandhidham service centre & i could get back repair charges .

TERRIBLE SERVICE
Sir,
Whirpool India has a third rate service. Must have been the most useless decision of my life in buying a whirpool refigerator. In the past three years. it has not been working for atleast an year and half.
I am shocked at the insensitivity of the company. It just does not respond to complaints. I wonder why they have to loot public like this. Why cant they hire some goons to loot some banks instead. i am sure non of them can understand when we get up two am in the morning to take milk for daughter and find milk spoilt.
I wish i could do something more than this... I wish some body in this useless company sees this mail and does something...

Subject- Extreme Dissatisfaction due to Poor Performance of Air Conditioner
Dear Sir,
1. I, Mr Saurabh Priya Singh have been an existing customer of Whirpool India as I bought a H- 65 Washing Machine and a 410 litre Professional series Fridge for my home last year. I work as a Vice President- New Business Initiatives for international Oil & Gas major at Gurgaon.
2. My current ordeal started this month on 22nd April when I decided to buy a 1.5 Tonne Window AC- Platinum model from Whirpool( Invoice No- 1207419736 dated 25th Apr 2008).
3. I, made a payment of Rs 19150/- via a Bank Draft drawn on ABN AMRO Bank and delivered it personally to your office to Ms Sapna Lohani- Institutional Sales after taking a clearance from her on the price and availability of the product.
4. Thereafter, on the same day evening I was informed that the particular model was not available in the stock and would take 24 hrs to fetch up. I agreed to this delay.
5. I again enquired on 24th Apr on the status of the delivery of my AC but was informed that it would be further delayed. I asked for a speedy delivery of the AC and was assured of the same at the earliest.
6. I again tried to contact Ms Sapna Lohani on 25th Apr for the delivery and she assured me that it would be delivered by 1800 hrs in the evening but since that did not happen and she was not available on the telephone and in the absence of any news of my AC proceeded to speak to your Call Centre on Telephone No- 011- 41666333.
7. I narrated the whole issue to the Customer Executive on line but he expressed his inability to do anything on the matter and asked me to get in touch with whoever had assured me of the delivery of the AC to me. I asked him for his Seat number and full name which he declined to divulge. I asked him to get me to speak to the Shift Supervisor/ Manager in the absence of any resolution at his end. He declined that their was no one who could speak to me but after my repeated insistence he said that someone would call me back in 1 hr time. I insisted on speaking to someone right away and he then told me that I would get a call in ½ an hour.
8. I then got a call from Mr Manish- Manager, Call Center and I narrated the whole incident to him and asked for arranging the delivery of my AC immediately. I then got a call from the C& FA agent after 1 hour who told me that he would deliver the AC only on 26th Apr as their was a delay in their unloading the shipment on 25th Apr.
9. I asked for an immediate delivery as more than 96 hours had elapsed since I paid the money but all that I had been delivered were false assurances and at best indifferent attitude from all the people I interacted with in this time.
10. I then spoke to Ms Sapna Lohani and she said that it could only be delivered on 26th Apr but after a lot of persistence she agreed to a delivery on 25th Apr by 2100 hrs and a commitment that the same would be fitted at my residence on the following day by 1100 hrs.
11. The fitment did not happen as I had anticipated and I again had to call Ms Sapna and Mr Manish who informed me that the fitment would now happen by 1700 hrs that day. To me as a customer, I was deeply disappointed by this callous behavior but in the absence of any choice, requested that it may be done at the earliest.
12. The fitment was done at 1500 hrs and to my surprise and bewilderment, the AC after installation was having noise levels much above my expectations. The guys who were sent for the installation assured me that gradually the noise would settle down in a couple of days.
13. The noise did not settle down and since then I have tried calling the Customer Care No- 011-41666333 many times but have not been able to speak to anyone as there is a pre- recorded message that keeps playing stating that all the executives are busy and I should send a SMS on 58558 and somebody would get back to me.
14. Sir, no one has called me since and I am deeply anguished and exasperated by now. I feel that I have not bought an AC but have bought a problem. The AC continues to make too much of noise and I regret having bought it.
15. I do not expect this kind of a product and this kind of deficient and callous service from a company and brand like Whirpool. On my part, I proceeded to buy the Top of the Line Platinum AC in your product line- up in the hope of getting a world class product but what I have got instead is a product that has left me dejected, frustrated with a feeling of being short changed.
16. In the light of the above, I request you to kindly refund my money at the earliest as I no longer wish to have any dealings with Whirlpool or use its products that fall terribly short of any reasonable expectations of performance.
Keeping in view the above facts, I demand that this particular piece should be “Taken Back immediately and my Money Refunded” to maintain the reputation of the company as well as keeping a customer’s faith in Whirpool intact. I hope, we can settle the issue amicably and I shall not be compelled to take the matter further.

Whirlpool - Worst after sales service
VERY POOR Response... VERY BAD PEOPLE AT WHIRLPOOL. Our washing machine (fully automatic - hot wash top load) was out of order for last three weeks. We have submitted the complaint on 4th April. We also have a annual maintenance contract. Till now the machine has not been picked up after repeated calls to whirlpool call center.
