Oven door won't close
I am writing in reference to my Gas-Oven Range (model# KGSA906PSS00, serial # XR4312386). I purchased my apartment in October 2007. The apartment already had in place the kitchen aid gas-oven range. Upon purchase, we noticed the oven door would not close correctly. It was not properly sealing. I called Kitchen Aid, which then forwarded the service call to A&E appliance service. A&E came and repaired the door, which I paid roughly $300 to fix.
Recently the same problem occurred. The door will NOT close properly. Either the hinges on door were not installed correctly by A&E in October of 07, or the oven has a permanent defect that no service company can fix. A&E sent another repair representative to look at. He saw NO structural damage to oven that would stop the door from closing. He said the only solution was to repair door hinges again, but that I would have pay same amount again. I talked to several supervisors at Kitchen Aid and A&E appliance service, but neither was willing to help me in this frustrating situation. Also, neither could provide me with a general solution to the problem, but insisting that I go forward and have repaired at my expense.
I am asking that either Kitchen Aid or A&E take responsibly here. I will NOT pay for additional service to my over door, nor will I back down from this dispute until justice is served. A&E claims to have a 90 day warranty policy. When they came in October 07, they never made us aware of such a policy and I never agreed or signed to anything of that nature. How should I be responsible for the same problem? What happens if I have A&E repairs again, and then same problem occurs on the 91st day? These are questions that both A&E and Kitchen Aid could not answer. Please do not respond to me about your service/warranty policies once again. You are wasting your time. I am aware of both polices and will not be satisfied until my oven door is repaired, free of charge.
Please advise that the following letter has been sent to both Kitchen Aid and A&E. Also this letter has been CC’d to the following agents: Federal Trade Commission, New Jersey Division on Consumer affairs, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Federation of America, US Consumer Product Safety Commission, and Ask Asa at www.wnbc.com/askasa.

Worst customer service
The lettering on my less than 1 month old duet washing machine is coming off. I called Whirlpool twice and both times hung even madder. WHY did I spend so much money on the piece of ****? They told me it was my fault. It was a user problem. I spilt laundry detergent on the control panel and wiped it off right after. IF you talk to David hang up and call back. He is sooooooo rude!!! Just check on the web and you will see all the complaints for whirlpool. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY PLEASE DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE!!!

defective piece
I am living at B-151 sector-11, Faridabad, Haryana . I bought one refrigerator of 310 litre capacity of Whirlpool make, iceberg model no. 32 elite from M/S Mohan Electrovision, Mohna road, Ballabgarh(Faridabad) vide bill no. 8717 dated-09/03/2008. This refrigerator stopped cooling in second week of April 2008 when it was put to use. I tried to contact the dealer and the local service center. I lodged my complaint and my complaint no. was HR408005119. I was given customer ID vide PCN-HR/C/04/08/11507. I was told to contact one Sh. Nirdosh on his phone no. 9211535024 and another no. 9213097238. The telephone no. of Ms. Sangeeta were also given 95129-6512538/39. I lodged my complaint. On 17/04/2008 one service engineer Sh. Satish visited my residence against my SRN no. 4628 dated-16/04/2008. He told that there is gas problem. On 18/04/2008 one engineer Sh. Prem came and he repaired the refrigerator by refilling the gas. On next day i.e. 19/04/2008, the refrigerator again stopped cooling. On 19/04/2008 Sh. Satish again came and after making a call to the service center told that this piece shall be replaced. Thereafter I and my wife have been making calls but we are not getting satisfactory reply. On 19/04/2008 we were told by one Ms. Ekta from the office of Ms. Sangeeta that we will get the new refrigerator on or before 23/04/2008. When the refrigerator did not arrive even on 24/04/2008, we made another call and we were told by Ms. Ekta that she has arranged a refrigerator of the same model from Panipat and we will get the new refrigerator on 28/04/2008. In the evening of 28/04/2008 when the refrigerator was not delivered we made another call to Ms. Ekta, and we were told that the refrigerator could not be delievered as the autorickshaw carrying the refrigerator has broken down and we will get it by tomorrow i.e.29/04/2008. Today again when the refrigerator was not delivered I made a call to sh. Nirdosh and my wife made a call to Ms. Ekta . I was told by Sh. Nirdosh that he is in the process of reconciliation of stock and he would get back to me in an hour. Ms.ekta on repeated calls made by my wife told that we would get the new refrigerator by 01/05/2008.
I also made a call to Sh. Nirdosh on 28/04/2008. whenever we make a call we are informed that they will get back to us in 15-20 minutes time but we never get a return call. The phone no. 9211535024 of Sh. Nirdosh always stands switched off even during office hours. From the act and conduct of the officials of the company it is evident that they are least bothered towards the grievance of consumers/customers. We are under tremendous pressure and mental agony as because of this defective and sub standard refrigerator all our milk products, vegetables and fruits are spoiling. It is requested that our refrigerator be replaced henceforth.
Yours truly,
Om Prakash S. Shekhawat

I have purchased a refrigerator on 6/4/08 which have dents and copmany engineeried agreed to replace and replaced after number of followups. The replaced piece seems to be refurbished on havikng lots of scratches inside and dealers says he has received for Whirlpool. I feel Whirlpool or their dealers are cheating customers. I made a mistake by choosing whirlpool.
This complaint I have registered on Whirlpoos website and see what kind of reply I get. I dont have again taim to follow up withj dealer as I am going on vacation for 10 days and expecting Whirlpool`s favourable reply.

Terrible experience!
I purchased a new washer and dryer set from The Home Depot online store homedepot.com on March 18th, 2008. Delivery was taken on March 22, 2008. I did not use them right away since I did all my laundry with my old set prior to taking delivery on the new set. I sold the old ones when the new ones arrived. On April 6, 2008, I did some laundry and on the 3rd load to be put in to the dryer, it died. The control panel flashed odd, unknown characters, and all the machine did was to *click* when I pressed the start button.
I called the number on the website, homedepot.com, and they told me that they would NOT exchange it and that I had to call the manufacturer. I have had this machine for less than a month, used it only 2 times (the 3rd time was a mere attempt) and I have to call the manufacturer? I didn't buy it from the manufacturer, I bought it from Home Depot. Or so I thought...
Apparently, Home Depot's online sales are drop shipped from the manufacturer and any problems have to be taken up with the manufacturer but it doesn't say that on their site. You have 48 hours to return a major appliance (legally, you have 72 hours to reconsider a purchase and negate it). After the 48 hour cutoff, the site says to go to your local store. The local store says that they won't do anything about it because it was purchased online. NICE. Let the games begin.
So, on to the manufacturer. They don't take ANYTHING back unless and until, it is deemed defective by a *certified* repair person. It gets better. The first service appointment was a week after the call to report the problem. Laundry is piling up. Service man comes in and diagnoses the problem as a blown mother board and has to order the part that takes 7-10 days to come in. Unacceptable, but I have no choice.
The next appointment is set for the following Tuesday but I have to call them when the part gets to my home to let them know that it's here. I call on Monday to let them know and they informed me that 2 parts were ordered and that they would not come until the second part arrived. Tuesday's appointment was canceled. The part arrived Wednesday and the service person came on Thursday, installed the parts and informed me that he had to order yet another part because it was still not working. Laundry is still piling up. I am now BUYING socks and underwear for my husband to be able to go to work. His clothes will run out soon.
Tomorrow, 4/22/08, will be one month that I have had this dryer that I have used exactly 2 times before it died 2 weeks ago. Whirlpool, the manufacturer, has ever so graciously offered me $50 lousy bucks for my trouble. The woman that I spoke to on the phone told me that when they take something back, it gets scrapped, not reconditioned and re-sold, so that's why they try to repair the item first. But how many times? And why do I have to suffer, going to the laundromat (which I did yesterday) when I have BRAND NEW laundry machines, so that Whirlpool and Home Depot don't lose money. What about MY MONEY? When did it become legal for corporate America to take working people's money, sell them sub par merchandise, and hold them hostage while they decide if the item is defective? I HAVE BEEN ROBBED and no one is doing anything about it.
The next service appointment is set for Thursday, 4/24/08. If it is not running by the time the service person leaves, I am calling a lawyer, the Attorney General's office, the Better Business Bureau and the consumer advocates at the local news stations. I have already started a dispute through my credit card used to purchase said dryer. I AM MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE.

They just don't seem to care
We received a defective cook top. Flames shooting out at every angle. I escaped being caught on fire by inches. Whirlpool refuse to replace it, claiming that they will have someone repair it. After 5 attempts to repair it, it still is not fixed. They just don't seem to care. They send a so called technician who has no idea what he is doing. We are now waiting for another part that was to be overnight to us this was 7 days ago. I guess if I suffered 3 rd degree burns they may have replaced it.
Still waiting.

faulty rerigerator
I had purchased a Whirlpool ICEMAGIC F26 ELITE refrigator 2years back.last year the gas leaked out so it took the company a week to get back the fridge in running condition.now the fridge was off for a week as we were out on a vacation.when we came back & switched on the fridge it was not cooling.an engineer came & said that again the gas needs refilling.Next day the person came & cut some pipe & said that the compressor is gone.how r we suppose to work in this heat? They say they will get it done by tomorrow but don't know.
This is our second fridge as the first one became faulty and was replaced within 6 months of its installation. This shows the poor performance of the company product and its service . Customers get unnecessary trouble because of faulty items. I NEED A REPLACEMENT OF THE REFRIGERATOR
