Horrible customer service
I am now on my 2nd Whirlpool front loader washer in 2-1/2 years. My last fiasco with Whirlpool left me without a washer for 3 months!! After numerous customer service call which I received the same spiel every time I finally got to a supervisor and she was the most rude person of them all!! After 4 visits they claimed out of a “courtesy" they would replace not attempt to repair AGAIN. Their warranty states they only have to repair not replace!! (If you can believe that!) You would think when you pay $1K for a washer you would be a "Premier Customer"!! I will NEVER buy another Whirpool appliance.

Irresponsible Customer Service
Hello,

I'm Sunil from Hyderabad and I own "WHIRLPOOL ICE MAGIC R21" brought in the year 2004 and is still under warranty. This product encountered some problem and is not working properly now - it is completely shutdown since 21st March, 2008. As it is a holiday weekend that time, I called Whirlpool customer service desk in Hyderabad (routed to New Delhi) on 24th March, 2008. The refence number which was given to me in connection to my compliant is "HD0308007798". At the time of logging complaint, I explained how critical this refrigerator for me and urged them to immediate attention. And from that point onwards, I'm calling them daily - morning and evening - to check the status. But, still, I didn't see technician visiting my home to check the problem and fix it.

Everytime I call - I'm getting an answer as technician will be today/early tomorrow morning. Days are running but there are no signs of technician coming to look into this problem.

All of sudden - on 29th March, 2008, when I called to enquire they said my complaint has been closed because I do not own any Whirlpool product - this is a shock to me - no one approached me and they simply closed the call giving non-sense reason.

I didn't expect this sort of irresponsible behavior towards customer's.

I'm running out of options - is there any way I can do to whirlpool people to wake-up from sleep and make them work for pity customers like me.

Worst quality washing machines F-65!
Worst Quality Washing machine ever made by any company, Very first day of purchase, machine didn't worked, whirlpool service people repaired brand new machine for 5 times , then were asking to bring the machine to service center, they brought back, still fails, later on they replace after 2 months of buying a new machine & charged about 1500/- as model change(Black color instead of other) & handling charges. with in 2.5 years of running machine I replace the main Motor for three time, now machine is without warranty/AMC. Now Company is asking for 2650+281=2931/-INR s. & another 2600/- as a further AMC charges. Suggest me i should keep the worst machine or but a new semi-automatic for the same cost of repairing of Whirlpool Washing Machine.

3 month old water heater goes out
Bought a 40 gallon whirlpool water heater at Lowes. Three months later it won't stay lit. Whirlpool says replace the gas valve and they would reinverse me for the part. 1st year on warranty is parts and labor. Read all the complaints and class action lawsuits pending against whirlpool. Went to Lowes in Greely Colorado and and explained the problem and they wanted to take care of me, they replaced the water heater with one of their installers. Thanks Mike, the store manager, you guys are great.

Bad quality of product!
This company called A & E FACTORY Repair, which is hired by Lowe's to repair Appliances they sell, is totally inept, and unable to service the smallest of appliances. I purchased a Whirlpool Chest Freezer in June 2007 from Lowe's. The freezer quit working in January 2008. Lowe's informed A & E factory repair, they sent a technician to repair the freezer. He came to my house, looked at the freezer and said he needed to order parts. Another week later parts arrived and a time later the technician returns, replaces the parts and informs me that the Freezer is unrepairable and would have to be replaced. This visit cost Whirlpool $351.03. I purchased the freezer new from Lowe's for $230.00. How does whirlpool stay in business? I called Lowe's customer Care line. They informed me that the technician had not entered the repair information and I would have to wait for that to happen, or call A& E Repair myself. Another week goes by and still the technician has not entered the repair information. I Called A & E repair and talked to three customer service rep's, a Supervisor and the Manager, all they could tell me is that they would have to send another Technician out to verify the first technicians finding's and then report the freezer as not repairable. He would have to report the information to them from my house. So here we go again??? To this date I have lost all the meat that was in the freezer, all the time to wait on technicians, and time on the telephone, all for a chest freezer from Lowe's. I would not buy any appliances from Lowe's or have any dealings with A &R Factory Repair. What waste of time.

Microwave malfunction!
I've taken a Whirlpool Microwave in Oct 2005. After the warranty period I had done AMC as persuaded by the company representative. Since then I had problem twice and the 1st complain took 2 months to get rectified... the service staff says "there is shortage of spares". Now again it is out of order and complain has been made, but again there is no spare parts. I really do not know how long it will take time. Microwave is a necessity in todays

Worst ever after sales service
I am one of your loyal customer with a range of whirl pool appliances at my office and home. Never earlier I have faced such a problem with the company and service. This time its worst then a nightmare.
I have purchased Whirlpool double door 340litres.refriferator Since day one we have been complaining to the dealer M/s Pravin agency- Pune regarding a) Bubble in the body of refrigerator b) Linear crack causing ducting problem c) Egg tray and onion & Lemon box not supplied . Service centre too was informed regarding the same. Service request Nos : PN0707001126 Dt : 04/07/2007 , PN1107009832 Dt 27/11/2007 ( available with us ) Mr Ramaswamy, Mr Apurva from Pune office were also informed regarding the same. Its been months together and no one at your end is bothered to rectify the problem.
Will anything be done regarding the same on priority basis.

calypso washing machine
I bought a whirlpool washing machine for $1200 six years ago. I also bought an extended warranty covering the machine for five years. I have had nothing but trouble out of the machine the entire time I have had it. Every six months to a year the machine had to be fixed due to a defect in the design. The machine allowed lint from clothes to get into the motor and burn the motor up. Every time this happened the extended warranty fixed the machine. Now the warranty is out on the machine and whirlpool refuses to take care of the situation. I paid whirlpool $1200.00 for a machine thinking that I was buying a high quality product that would last 12 to 15 years. Whirlpool insist that because it is not within their specified warranty period they have no legal obligation to me. I am a single mother of three children and a full time nursing student. I do not have the funds to replace the unit at this time. I have been placed in a very difficult situaiton and all whirlpool cares about is their legal obligation to me. they have acknowledged that the problem is in their design but will not take care of me, their customer. I also bought a dishwasher from them that the electronic panel went out on the first year and a dryer that the motor burned up in after I had it for 15 months. Both of those items were still covered by the warranties but I am very upset to have had the problems in the first place. I paid more money for whirlpool products than i would have else where thinking I was buying quality and customer service. I was mistaken in both of my assumptions. I will never buy a whirlpool product again and I advise anyone looking for high quality and loyal customer servic from a company they can depend on to avoid whirlpool at all cost. Ms. Pittman, Texas

No response from service centre in Hyderabad
we had bought a whirlpool fridge 3 years back from a dealer in hyderabad, now after three years a very delicate and essential part of the fridge on which the funcioning of it depends has suddenly stoped working i.e the PCB of the fridge. we had called the service centre in hyderabad ,they registered the compalint and send there service man. when the person came for inspection the first thing he asked was if we pay him Rs.280 as inspection charges then he would carry out the inspection, we agreed to it then he started taking his tools out and just looking at the pcb in a minute or two he said it is not possible to repair ,you need to replace it, and it would cost Rs.2800. we were shocked how could such an important part of the fridge can spoil in 3 years though the fridge was equipped with a good stabilizer and it cant be repaired .Moreover, he says the company does not have this part with it now they have to import it from some other country. so how can a company like whirlpool manufacture products that cannot be repaired but replaced and the consumers need to bear such heavy amounts for this.
And now we are keeping on making calls to the service centre and there response is "it will take more 5 days".
