Hot Water Heater
Whirlpool natural gas hot water heater..one word, junk
Service: two words, rude and useless
Feedback: I will never own another Whirlpool device, my previous water heater(Rheem) lasted 12 years with no problems.. This Whirlpool unit is less than 2 years old and is being replaced today..Warrany or no warranty I want it out of my house...

electric dryer
purchased an electric dryer LESS than 2 years ago, it now does NOT work AT ALL ... and whilpool wants ME to pay 125 to see what the problem is ... had a dryer NOT whirlpool, lasted 19 years .. and THIS whilpool purchased was NOT cheap .. guess china and mexico screwed this on up big time !!! WILL NEVER RECOMEND OR PURCHASE AND WHILPOOL OR THEIR KNOCKOFFS AGAIN !!!

warranty misrepresentation
The front of my dishawasher, which I've had for less than a year, has become mottled and ugly looking. The warranty specifically states that it covers "defects in material or workmanship" for one year. When I called, I was told that I needed to check the exclusions in the limited warranty printed below the regular warranty. I had already done that, and nothing was said about cosmetic exclusions. (The dishwasher works fine -- it just looks awful.) Reading the manual, the representative could NOT find why it shouldn't be covered, so he contacted his "resources". The best they could come up with was that, regardless of what the warranty says, cosmetic complaints are not covered. The supervisor I talked with afterwards also told me the same thing. So, what good is a warranty if they can tell you afterwards that it really doesn't matter because they have a separate policy that supercedes what they give customers? I'll never buy from Whirlpool again.

Whirlpool service assigned service tasks to me
In October of 2006 we purchased a Whirlpool front load washer. It is a Whirlpool Duet washer.
After trying to speak to a live person at customer service I had to put in a automated service request, F-10.
The service tech showed up and informed me that two circuit boards on my new washer were bad. He said it would take 10 days to get the replacements.
Why, if Whirlpool has a local authorized service company are they not supplied with replacement parts in a timely manner?
Why was I as the customer told to call the service tech and get the part numbers and then to call Whirlpool back so they would expedite for part for me?
Why isn't the tech authorized by them to do the repair on my washer?
I am the customer!

Glass is corroded between panes only 3 months old
Purchased a gas range in Oct 2010. It has a double glass door. Grease gets in between the double glass and can not be cleaned by the automatic oven cleaner. Called the company to ask how to clean. I was referred to the seller who will charge $75 per visit plus extra for time spent cleaning the inside of the glass.When I mentioned this sounded like a manufacturing defect I was told there is nothing Whirlpool will do about this. Asked to speak to a higher up at Whirlpool and was refused. This IS a defect in the design. She informed me if I open the door to clean it my warranty will be voided.

Whirlpool is too busy to send me my welcome kit
I purchased a washing machine from Whirlpool. I was informed by the retailer that I would get a welcome kit.
But I still now -- after 2 months -- have not received the kit. I did call the customer care the person. She told me, "I am busy I'll call you later".
I was shocked!

Ceramic Stove keeps Cracking
The Top of my Ceramic Kitchen stove keeps Cracking. This is the fourth time it has cracked. The first two were under warranty, but now it costingme money . It is NOT from anything being dropped on it : Its from overheating, I think . Its always the same Burner, and it actually burns a Hole in the Ceramics !

Whirlpool's broken products get poor service
I have bought a Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine (Model H65) on 28 August, and it stopped working televen months later.
I have registered the complaint with Whirlpool on August -- only 12 months after my purchase.
Untill now no service engineer has visited or repaired the machine.
When I call the Whirlpool service (the toll free number works fine always) they identify the complaint and assure me that before the end of the day the engineer will visit and repair the m/c but beyond that nothing happen.
I have escalated to the Service manager and talked to him also but nothing happened other than the promises.

What a waste of money
It runs about 50 percent of the the time and getting unbearable with the noise. Who needs this much noise when you are trying to relax and have a bite or talk with company and friends?
A kitchen is a gathering place in a lot of homes. Looks like I'll be shopping for another fridge. It will not be Whirlpool. What a waste of money.
