Reported problem with ceramic cooktop to some call center in Colombia because the unit was still under factory warranty on friday feb 11, 2011 and was told no service over the weekend- called a local number here in guatemala today and was told that service tech would call today to set up appointment- it's 9:41 local time so I guess they won't be coming today- february 14, 2011 Outrageous that I have been without service and they are all so glib about me waiting I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM WHIRLPOOL AND WILL BE SURE TO VOICE MY OPINION EVERY CHANCE I GET

washer and dryer
this company international payment centre sent me pictures of these products whirpool washer and dryer also a sony 61 inch big screen tv set and cuisinart food processor and grill and a paretti jewelry dimond with a certified proof of owner ship of th cut dimond . i also suposed to hav won mail containing a large amount of money inside of an envelope containing documents inside valuable which i have in my possession at present time supose to be delivered by EXP Mail Expedient Mail 008379 IMPERIAL DISTRIBUTION COMPANY PLEASE CON TACT ME IF THIS IS REAL NOTHING DELIVERED AS OF YET ... THANK YOU

Servicing of Refrigerater
Made a complaint to Customer Care Center on 4.02.2011. Complaint No.DL-0211002698. Specifically mentioned
that an Engineer by the name of Tara Chand should not be assigned the job, because of my past experience the way he mishandled my washing machine. Some Santosh from Supertech Systems & Services visited, and as per his suggestion and information the cooling gas was refilled by one Vicky. In order to ensure smooth running of the appliance a voltage stablizer, costing Rs.2265.00 was purchased, from Supertech. Yet the the green light on the door went off, resulting in the refrigerator light also went off and the cooling stopped. Again made a complaint to the Customer Care Center, Complaint no.DL-0211006390, on 8.2.2011, which was never attended. Your Customer Care Center generated a complaint No.DL-211008658 on 10.2.2011, again not attended. Another complaint No.Dl0211009702 on 12.2.2011. remained unattended. The job is allocated to
different persons who are not able to find the fault. They trying to rectify the fault by hit and trial method.
Please assign some senior and competent person to attend to my complaint. Mrs Kusum Khullar.

Refridgerator
We have a six year old Whirlpool side by side refridgerator. The relay for the compressor blew and melted the compressor pin so that a new relay cannot even be put on. The relay was burned so bad that it melted part of the plastic on the relay, and melted the contact on the compressor. This is a serious safety fire hazzard. We thought there was fire somewhere in our home. We not only lost every bit of food in our freezer and fridgerator, but also have been w/0 a refridgerator for two weeks. Whirlpool representives have been for most part very rude and dismissing of our issue.

Did not honor my 5 year Microwave warranty
I bought my Maytag over the range Microwave oven in April 2006 It has a full warranty the 1st year and a 2 through 5 year on different parts plus labor.The A&E technician checked my warranty and model and called his office .They called Whirlpool and reassured them it was a correct warranty. I made a copy of warranty cover and warranty. The technician said they would fax it to Whirlpool and would get back to me. Never heard from them . I called customer service at Whirlpool and they said they would not honor it as all their warranties were for 1 year only. As it stands now, they will not honor the warranty.

Needless to say I will not buy Maytag or Whirpool again.

Stay tuned
One day after the original warranty expired, the washer did too. It made a sound similar to a garbage compactor. (1) The pump crashed. (2) The computer went "belley-up" !3) Thermostat fizzled. (4) Element burned out. (5) Basket deteriorated. (6) Repairman is now confused and is not sure WHAT the problem is now, (he will return at 3:00 for a re-evaluation.Will update you later. Stay tuned.

extended warranty
Got a meat drawer in the freezer thats to narrow and will not stay in the tracks.Lowes extended warranty will not cover it, they say its cosmetic.I know I waited to long to pursue this but a warranty is still a warranty even though it runs out in Aug, 2011.This drawer bin was either the wrong part installed at the manufactures end or it was switched at the store for another refridgerator missing one.i can't believe this is a cosmetic issue but a wrong bin put in my freezer.Lowes and their warranty company is trying to get out of fixing this.I think "cosmetic" is ambiguous to say the least. They use this as an excuse to keep from honoring a extended warranty. This bin was in my freezer on day (1).As I stated above I waited a while to file a repair claim but even if I had called for repair or replacement of the bin in question they still would have said it was cometic. This bin came with the freezer/refridgerator because it either was the wron bin size for this model or it was taken from a similar model at the Lowes store as Whirlpool has said may have happened at the store predelivery.All I want is a bin that fits. This bin is $76.00 on the Whirlpool web site.I think Lowes needs to do the correct thing and honor this extended warranty. Cosmetic should be removed from all warranty when it appears as a physical problemor technical.

Awful combo microwave
I purchased whirlpool appliances for a new home approximately 3 years ago. One of the appliances was an in the wall microwave/oven combination.

One year ago the thermostat went out. It was replaced. Then the magnetron went out. It was replaced one week ago and now it has went out again.

If you call whirlpool the service man charges to come out just to see what is wrong and then you pay more for it to be fixed.

I have paid half of what this appliance cost me new to have it repaired twice in less than 3 years.

I would recommend that no one purchase whirlpool appliances. They are not worth the money and the company forgets who you are as soon as they receive your payment.

REFRIGEROTOR HAS TAKEN SINCE MAERCH'10 FOR SERVICING AND NOT RETURNED TILL NOW
I HV PURCHASED ONE REFRIGERATOR ON 31/12/2005 AND AFTER SIX MONTH OF PURCHASING I M FACING A LOTS OF PROBLEM WITH THIS PRODUCT. FIRST COMPLAIN WAS MADE ON JUST AFTER SIX MONTH OF PURCHASE THAT TIME SERVICE CENTRE HHAS CHANGED THE COMPRESSOR. AGAIN RELAY HAS CHANGED.THEN AGAIN COMPRESSOR HAS CHANGED AND CHARGED FOR GAS, LABOUR, TRANPORTING ETC AS RS.1200.00 BUT REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AGAIN COMPLAIN HAS MADE. SERVICE CENTRE HAS TAKEN MY REFRIGERATOR FOR SERVICING PROCESS AND 9 MONTHS HAS PASSED BUT THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED MY REFRIGERATOR. MY WARANTY WILL BE OVERED ON 31/12/10.

Pathetic Service Levels
Bought an AMC from the company, when requested for service the personal came and told that AMC was not active and he could not change parts. When I talked to Customer Care they told that the AMC is active and gave me the registration number as well they also told the executive to undertake the required work but he refused and went. I again called customer care and explained them everything they assured me that they will take the matter to their superiors and will get back in 2 hours, but the next day I received a message being informed that my complaint is closed...? Their website dosen't work and even calls to their corporate office yielded no result and I am stuck with PAID non functioning AMC.
