Daily 15 calls to the customer service desk of whirpool but still there has been no action taken.

The call center support is pathetic
Whirlpool is considered a leading brand of electronic products but we have had a very bad experience that has frustrated no end each time we have faced a problem. In 3 years of taking the refrigerator from Whirlpool we have had:
1. Compressor changed
2. Cooling stopped at least 5 occassions
3. Water lekage within fridge at least 3 occassions
4. Cooling reduced many times and no permanent solution offered.
The call center support is pathetic. The call is made but no references given even when asked. Engineers either dont report or report much late at night and ignore the time they themselves give to come and have a look. Replacements takes days no end.
We feel so helpless in terms of what to do and once again we have been told that the compressor will have to be changed. What can a consumer do when an electronic item is so bad in shape and keeps falling over.
We thought we chose a good brand and spent 27, 000 on this fridge but PLEASE DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL.

I feel that Whirlpool is deliberately neglecting the complain
This is to inform you that I had bought a 310Lts Professional Deluxe refrigerator of Whirlpool in 2008 from Great Eastern Appliances, Kolkata.Since the time I bought it, I am facing a problem with the refrigerator. The door of the refrigerator is not closing properly. I have to force close the door every time. The refrigerator is not chilling properly. I had to make at least 4 complains for the same within this span of time. The engineer visited to check. The cooling solution was rectified, but the door problem could not be rectified at all. The last time your engineer visited, he reclined the refrigerator backward on a very high angle to get the door closed automatically. But as per as my knowledge is concerned, it should not be that much reclining to get the door closed.It may be what I feel that the refrigerator door is defective. My last complain SR Number was – KL0609010717. I sent several fax to Whirlpool head office. But in vain, everytime somebody would call up and assure me for getting the door changed. Nothing turned up in this last 3 months except assurance to get the door replaced.
Now that I feel that Whirlpool is deliberately neglecting the complain and that they want their customers to get harassed like the way it is dealt with. That they are not at all interested to get the defective door replaced. That they are selling defective products to their customers. That they are trying to cheat customers in this mode of negligence. That they are harassing customers by putting them in mental agony and by draining out their hard earned money by providing defective materials at high price. That due to their negligence I had to buy another refrigerator in spite of having a new refrigerator. That they cannot provide after sale service though they promise to do so through their advertisements in the media and through other channels. That their customers have no value to them and they treat them like street dogs denying their value. All this leads to mental agony, harassment and financial loss putting up a huge burden to myself as well as my family.

I have been begging to repair or replace, but not getting any response.
I have brought a whirlpool professional, as a valentine gift to my wife. After using it for a week, it started leaking ( almost 2 glass water ).I have given complaint to the whirpool customer care and I have been following for more than 15 days. Till now 3 persons have visted my house with no retification.The thing I observed is they look like sales guys and I did not see any certified techinician there as they do not have basic knowdlege, which I believe is a 420(Cheating the customer).
I have been begging to repair or replace, but not getting any response.
The customer care says that the fridge is under observation, but not sure who is observing as none has visted my site after the techinican removed the parts and left for the day.
I dont understand the meaning of oppointment, after talking to Whirlpool customer care as they give time, but dont showup and will they neither call to intimate that they will not showup..
As a customer I need help. Please suggest me for the things to do and also guide me to the right channel.I want to make sure that no other person should be affected.

unreliable
purchased a $700.00 12000 btu air conditioner that malfunctioned after not even 30 days of use. Contacted company to find out I have no service in my area for repair. In order to return this product I am required a Return authorization number. Whirlpool says I have to wait 7-14 days for this to happen. .
whirlpool your service is crap and I will never purchase another one of your models and I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to purchase another one of your China made pieces of scrap!!!

Not arriving for appointment as scheduled
Once again a failure of this company to provide good customer service. Technician failed to arrive for a 8-12 appointment and I was not notified until 12:05 and then could not come out until 3 pm. The dryer was installed in a closet of an RV and I had help sitting here for 4 hours so that the dryer could be moved out of the closet for service and put back in.
I really hate Whirlpool. I had poor service from a Whirlpool tech at Tiffin Motorhomes - I wish Tiffin would stop using Whirlpool products. They are trying a new brand but did not have any for replacement because they are ordered on a customer ordered upgrade basis. Replacements at this time are with Whirlpool products.
I had a drying /timer issue with the new dryer after one week of having it installed.

There indifferent careless behavior should be conveyed to general public to stay from Whirlpool appliances
My washingmachine got jammed because of on/off button was jammed inside. Their engineer Mr. Santosh came to repair but cound not pull the button outside and promised to come next day with new on/off button but never came. On following with customer service center I was told that button was not available. On contunues following my problem theri senior engineer Mr Sanjay Gautam came on line on 17th of November and assured me that on/off will be positively replace on wednesday(26.11.08). I reminded their customercare center about wednesday on the same day then again about 4.00 pm Mr Sanjay Gautam came on line and said that it will be attended on Monday(01.12.08). I told him that earliar you had promissed for wednesday and now you are assuring for next Monday so what is the certainly that it well be done on Monday. It is reduiculus that most common part is not available with them and is taking indefnite time. Whirlpool should be brought to book and should be forced to refind my payment with interest and penalty and rake back their machine.

DEFECTED REFRIDGERATOR CAN'T RETURN
I bought a whirlpool gold refridgerator after reading the consumer report on it overall A grade. The first week I got it my freezer is forming ice and and the filter is jam. I call whirlpool customer service up and they sent out a technician. All was good and dandy until 2 days later it started again with the freezer ice. Okay another technician came out. This time the technician lubricated and also indicated to me that my door is not adjusted right so he adjusted. Later on at night ice forming again and my door start to squeak now. OMG I have another problem added to my previous one. Now freezer and door problem. I call them again and this time I told them I want an exchange and they told me that they only warrenty repair not exchange. I got furious and call my Howard's appliance store in San Gabriel and they said they will send out there own technician. He came said oh he found the problem and will order parts to fix it on the next schedule. He also check my squeaking door and adjusted again seem fine now. Later that day again my door still squeaks but this time is louder. Now I'm at the part where I'm sitting waiting for the store manager to call me to see what they can do for me. I decided that I want to let everyone know that WHIRLPOOL is a ripoff and buyer beware!!! I should have check the complaint department before I buy there product. Lesson Learn and regret!! Please do not buy from this brand/company!!! Maybe I should go to the news report and see if they can report this matter so the public will know what kind of company they running!!!

Electric 50 gal Water Heater
I purchased a Whirlpool electric 50 gal water heater from Lowes on 16 Jul 10. After having scalding water and turning thermostat down, the limit control switch keeping turning heater off and also tripping breaker. Sticker on side of heater says do not return to Lowes; call Whirlpool. Whirlpool advised me there was too much power and to check with voltage meter. Funny previous two heaters had no problem with electricity. On 26 Jul 10, I tried to reset limit control switch. It sparked! I drained the heater (which had no hot water), uninstalled the heater and took it back to Lowes. I was told I could not return the heater by the service desk employee. I asked her to call her manager. When she did, she referred to me as "a white-haired old man" instead of a customer. The manager also referred to me in the same way when I told him to talk to Whirlpool. Whirlpool offered to exchange the water heater for another one just like it. I told them I would not accept another water heater and that both Lowes and Whirlpool would be looking at a law suit because the product would either set my house on fire or scald me or one of my loved ones. I told people I knew entering Lowes and people I didn't know not to buy a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. After much arguing with the manager about leaving the heater and creating a scene, I was given a credit for the amout of the heater and the extended warranty. I left Lowes (never to ever set foot in there again) and bought a 50 gal electric Rheem water heater from Moore Supply Co. which didn't cost as much as the Whirlpool and can be returned to Moore if there is a problem. I have enjoyed hot water from my Rheem ever since with no problems. It is a better built, USA manufactured heater.
