A complaint was made via email on April 11, 2010 after several attempts on trying to contact your customer care, with regard to the refrigerator not getting cooled and ice gets formed after four hours in fast cool.
We have also made several calls, but the calls are attended after a very long duration. This Whirlpool Refrigerator 310 deluxe was purchased on 13/08/2009. Please note below the details with regard to the nature of the complaint registered:

After contacting customer care on Thursday 15/04/2010, a complaint was registered and the complaint no. provided was MB0410007168.
On Friday, 16/04/2010, the technician visited our residence and found that there is low gas and said that another technician would do the needful the next day.
On Saturday, April 17, 2010, it was a surprise to note that though the technician mentioned there is low gas the previous day, he turned up with a new compressor and replaced the same. There was also some welding work done while installing the compressor. He then requested us to put refrigerator on after three hours. But the problem was not solved.
A second complaint was made the next day i.e. on Sunday, 18/04/2010, with regard to the above, and was promised that our call would be attended within 24 hours.
There was no sign of the technician till Tuesday morning (20/04/2010) and we contacted the, whereby she mentioned that the complaint is closed as the compressor was replaced. On insisting that the problem still persists she then made a new complaint (Complaint No. MB0410010989). This particular call cost was Rs. 30/-.
A technician (the third one within a week) visited us on Wednesday, 21/04/2010 and again mentioned that the gas is very low and that he would come the next day to do the needful.
Today, (22/04/20100, the technician came and after one and a half hour of checking they could not succeed to get the cooling done. He said that he will be speaking to Whirpool directly to get the needful done.
At present the freezer does the work as of normal refrigerator. The lower part of the fridge is not at all functioning. The food and milk are being decayed in the fridge due to low cooling.
Is there a solution for this grievance we are facing for the past 12 days?
It is only eight months since we purchased this refrigerator and we are already having enough of it.
We have made several complaints via emails and phone calls. The phone calls are never attended within five minutes and if at all attended it takes more than ten minutes to get the complaint across.
As per the description of the executive at Snehaanjali, this refrigerator had door alarm which was one of the main reasons for purchase and the same was also mentioned in the brochure. But we regret to inform that though the refrigerator had a sticker of "Door alarm" it was not at all functioning. Though we were disappointed with this fact and since the refrigerator was already installed in our residence we have adjusted to it.
We regret to say that Whirpool being one of the branded products in market is not upto the mark and the services offered are pathetic. The brochures and the dealers should be updated with regard to the features and specifications of each model.
We are now being forced to go to the consumer court with this issue.
