I have had the extremely unfortunate experience of having to deal with these people several times. I would LOVE to know how it is that these people can sleep at night with the price gouging they do at that drug store. I typically use my small, family owned, local pharmacy for business but on a few occasions due to time constraints - I have had to use the White Marsh Pharmacy.
A prescription that I need every month costs me $40.75 at my local, trusted pharmacy. Last week, while having to run into the White Marsh facility I was told that this SAME EXACT PRESCRIPTION was going to cost me "over a hundred dollars" by the woman behind the counter.
I do not have health insurance so - as anyone can imagine, $100 for one prescription that only last me one month is completely astronomical and totally freakin ridiculous. I informed the woman of the EXTREME difference in the costs and she had the absolute NERVE to say to me "I would be happy to call your local pharmacy and ask them how they get that special pricing". I mean seriously!!!????
In this world we live in where any and all kinds of medical "professionals" are getting rich off billing unnecessary medical procedures to peoples health insurance, it seems now - lining their pockets with the money of the sick and/or un-insured is the "new cool thing".
I truly believe there should be a special bungalow in hell for these people.
