I authorized a "free" sample of teeth whitening tooth paste from Whiter Smile. As it turned out, I had to pay shipping charges of $3.61. I authorized that charge believing that I would receive a sample for free. Well, as it turns out, this is merely a scam. My credit card was charged an additional $87.47 "membership fee" just eight days later!! I called the phone number that shows on my credit card bill 1-877-666-0531 to tell them that I didn't authorize the $87.47 charge. They said that the charge is pending during my 10 day "free" trial period. Well, I don't know if I'll receive the "product" before the "free 10 day trial period " is up. The original charge date for shipping was 3/15/10 and it's 3/23/10. According to the customer service rep "Liza" my 10 day trial period expires after 3/25/10.
She offered to extend my trial period for another 10 days. I told her "NO". I want the charge removed from my credit card account. She said that the company would send me an email that I should respond telling them to cancel my subscription and to refund any and all fees they charge me. We'll see if I ever get this email from the company. I asked for their email address to make my claim in writing and she told me I can only contact them by phone. Help me get my money back!
