WORSE THAN BAD SERVICE
I live 5 miles from town and I am limited to what service I can get, dial up for years, I called several providers of internet services hoping to find something faster, I decided on Wild Blue. It seemed at best ok, by the 3rd week it barely worked. I called to find out why and was informed that I had went over my limit. I was furious. When I called to inquire about the service one of the questions I ask was what happens when you go over your limit. He said oh, nothing we don't cut you off and you don't have to pay overages, but he said if you see that you are goign to use more you can up grade. Come to find out that if you go over your limit they slow your system down to unusable. So here I was thinking it was my computer and I was reloading my adobe reader etc. Which only used more, then I was refreshing like crazy trying to get things to load AGAIN using more. When I didn't recieve a bill I called come to find out it is automatically taken from the account, I wasn't told that either. I ask him that as well, he said no I could call in and make the payment that was only a one time deal where it would come out. LIES LIES AND MORE LIES, DECIETFUL, I found this out withIN a few days, then I was going to cancel thinking I was still in a 30 day window, GUESS WHAT, there is not 30 day window the service is not Garunteed (Hughes net is) I AM BOUND FOR 2 YEARS.
I am now paying for a 2 year contract for a service that I can not use for more than half the time each month, yes I even went to a higher package, I have been very cautious of what I have done over the past week have gone days without even using it, and again today I recieved my warning notice that i am about to reach my 70% yes when you hit 70% they slow your computer down where it is worse than dial up. They said it is so everyone can share and others can access it as well. I have found they only have 2 satelittes they can only have 100 people on it from this area, so take a guess had how many people are on these two satelittes Hughes net has 12 and their limits are higher. There only answer for me is that they are within their right it is government mandated. If everyone is exceeding their limits then there is a problem. Hughes net even gives you 4 hours each day of free time from 1 am until 6 am. WILD BLUE IS A RIP OFF AND DONT' EVEN STAND BBEHIND THEIR SERVICE. They use the wrong they are doing and hide behind the government mandate. No one does anythign about it. It is wrong to provide terrible service such as this. Everytime you open up your internet you are charged and lose mg's everytime the system locks up or stops due to the satelite you refresh and reload that cost ME not them becaues their system doesn't operate as promised. I should have stayed with dial up !
