Many people have born witness to Hogarty’s fraudulent ways:
He even swindled his 1st stepmother (the one who pretty much raised him), in regards to a house she had. We were told that is where he got the money to invest in the start-up of his1st Olympic Funding business in Fremont. She, on the other hand, was a trusting sole. And even after everyone else knew of what he did to her, she was pretty much clueless. He ended up burning her again later on when she and her then husband went to try and work for him.
Many could also go on and on about personal evils that he did to others, in addition to the professional… myself included.

He did try to hide his professional affronts (deceits) well, but his employees didn’t always do such a good job of hiding theirs. And they were ENCOURAGED and taught how to "cheat" the system (White-Out being a frequent tool of theirs) yet chastised if they didn’t cover their tracks well. Going back some 19 years, around the time he started Olympic Funding, would surely turn up many fraudulent activities. His business was threatened, or actually looked into, from time to time even back then, but he always seemed to squeak through by covering his tracks before and/or after.
Gee, many former-employees, former-friends and former clients have been waiting many years for this! We were always told that “someday” he'd get what was coming to him, but we really never, ever thought that we’d see it in our life time, or his. But make no mistake; Hogarty will never, ever be "tamed". He will just start all over again. He is "good" at what he does, i.e. illegal activity, cheating the system, cheating people, lying, pulling the wool over people’s eyes, etc….

And regarding his employee/friend (Jim) that was/is in cahoots with him: He can’t simply JUST be sticking around so that he may be paid what is owed him by Hogarty. This particular employee may love his family, but... call a spade a spade. With this employee continuing to participate in Hogarty’s dealings and spoils, as many people have come forth to attest to, it is then obvious that he knew/knows about it, and that would make him just as culpable and legally responsible as Hogarty.
And Hogarty's wife? Greedy? Seems so. Knowing? Given her professional (and personal) status in his company, she has to be... if not fully in depth about all, then about most. But for sure manipulated way beyond her own insecurities, and obviously manipulated in many different ways. We wouldn’t be surprised if he initially legally set it up in a way to TRY and pin some, or most, of this on her should his fraudulent activities ever become exposed. He picked a "good one" (wife) this time. He doesn’t care WHO takes the fall, as long as it isn’t him. We know this from seeing it firsthand. He always referred to people, such as his employees, “friends”, or relations in terms of their being "loyal" or not, as if they were dogs. Well, he sure found one “loyal” wife!
Oh, and funny how you could spot the phony "support" letters that were obviously being written by him and supposedly written by someone else. Always the same kind of rantings... and with the typos that you talked of. Hilarious! We can remember and actually hear his voice ranting these same words way-back-when.
And "Bully" is the exact word for him. Even back in his high school days, the stories that he himself or others would tell me. It is for this reason that many, many people wouldn’t dare confront him, or take him on... then or now. he would scream about how much money he had, and how much power he had, and all the "right people" he knew, so you'd better not even try! and we are SURE that this is why more people, former employees, and former "friends", do not come forth. They have the fear. AND... they have seen him get away with crap over and over again.

One of the worst (and funniest) things we ever heard him say once was that he was someday going to run for mayor of Fremont!!! To which we all thought, “Heaven help us all
