I recently had lunch at the Willard Hotel (June, 2009). It is all hype. The food was fine but the table was full of dust, I looked up at the light fixtures and I couldn't believe a fine hotel of this nature could be so filthy. If the public space and resturant areas are this dirty, I wonder about the kitchen.
I used to be a frequent visitor to the Willard when my Father was with the UN. I don't know what happened to this once grand hotel, but it has truly lost its luster in the eyes of this former fan (whose cousin was married here a decade ago).
