Don't waste your money
In 2003 I had purchased a 2003 Caviler from Williams kia in traverse city Michigan. In November of 2005 I had traded it in for 2005 Kia Sedona. Which I would have never done if I knew where I was going to be today. I had no choice but to trade my 2 door caviler in for a mini van because I had met my husband who had two children and we had one on the way. Naturally you can not fit three car seats into a 2 door caviler. So I was in a bind and boy did they take advantage of that. We had 6000.00 dollars from the caviler carry over into the financing of the van in negative equity, so that was the first down fall. which I only owed 9000.00 on. Any way we pay 485 a month for this van, just so that our family can ride together. I have kept up on the vehicle in every aspect possible, oil changes were always on time and I did all my mileage check points at the dealer ship. I was aware that if you didn't keep the vehicle up that it would void your warranty. so I kept it up. Two years into owning this thing, I had new tires and brakes put in, (1200.00) and then right after the air conditioning went out. Apparently there was hole in the air compressor, had to get that fixed. (1200.00) and then about a year later, the heat stopped working, (in the middle of a northern Michigan winter with my three kids in the car!) so had it looked at for that. The hoses had rusted out, luckily those parts were under warranty, but in finding all this out they discovered the bell housing bracket was broke and told me the transmission had to be replaced. the car had 37000 miles on it. And no, the transmission does not have a warranty. and mind you the car was running just fine when I took it to them to fix the coolant hoses in the back rear. When we asked how this could have happened they said it was our fault and that we hit something, I think I would know it I was to have hit something that hard. So what ever, being the only car we own we had to get it fixed. (1900.00) So we went two weeks without a car, it wasn't until we went to pick up the car that we found out that Williams Kia offered loner cars. did anyone offer my family of five with no car one of those when we were paying them two grand to have our car? HELL NO!! so now we are 5 years into this car and still have two years left on our lone when the about of money we have put into it could have paid this stupid van off 2 years agaio! Williams kia is a joke, as a matter of fact I believe the whole kia company is huge scam. New brakes, new tires, new air compressor, and new transmission, new rear lock (I forgot to mention the back hatch was stuck shut for 4 months also) and I still have to pay on this thing for 24 more months. I do not suggest to anyone looking to buy a kia that they do it. Their warranty is crap (not to mention they make you pay for it in your finance agreement) and then don't honor it they way they make it sound before you sign those papers. When we bought the car they promised us 5 free oil changes, never happened, and also the lid to the ash tray broke while we were test driving it and they said they would get it fixed and still to this day I have to stair at the ash tray lid sticking up off the dash, yes its stupid, but its one more thing to add to the list of BS Williams kia makes there customers go threw. Not to mention I just put another 500.00 into it to change the timing belt, which is a 60000 mile requirement. I wont even get into the way they treat me when I am in there for something, yes I am a women and I have no choice but to bring my kids with me, they don't have to treat me like I am ignorant retarded person. I hate having to go there and their hours clash with my husbands so rarely do I have a choice. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY TIME OR EFORT GOING TO WILLIAMS KIA. STAY LOCAL AND U.S. MADE! IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF HEADACHES AND EVEN MORE MONEY!!!
