I am complaining about Cash Net.com. I received a call from a man at a 310 area code phone number. When I called it back there was a lot of back ground noise, like a call center. The person I spoke to spoke very little english and refused to provide the name of the "law firm" he said he worked for or his name. I was told to provide my information, when I refused. I was told that several years ago I took out a payday loan that now totaled 1911.00 and that if I did not take care of it over the phone that day, then the local sheriffs office would show up at my door or my job with a warrant for my arrest. When I asked for the date of this supposed loan, he refused to provide it. When I asked for the contact number for the company I was supposedly transferred to the corporate office, which was yet another person who did not speak english, in the same office, the same background noise. I was told to put my attorney on line. When I responded that I did not have an attorney, the person asked me how I intended to take care of this matter or be arrested. When I informed him I had no knowledge of this issue he said well then I wish you luck in jail. He hung up on me. I was never able to receive a name from anyone who I spoke to or the name of the Law firm. The information that they did have was very old and not up to date. I have looked over all of my bank records and there is nothing to indicate that I have ever done any business with Cash Net or any of their affiliations. I took it one step further and have spent several days on the phone calling every pay day loan company I can find contact information for. NONE OF THEM HAVE EVER HEARD OF ME AND HAVE NOTHING ON ME. Please be careful is you get a call like this. It is a scam. DON'T PAY THEM. One of the pay day services I spoke to said that my story sounds exactly like a lady who had called her the day before and that this woman had paid this guy 900.00. She too had not record of the "loan". Report this call if you receive it. I have yet to find any contact information for this company. I have called every loan company I can find. BE CAREFUL.
