I bought a pair of Wilson Pro Staff 700 tennis shoes from Mike Farrer Agencies in East London(South Africa), and as a casual tennis player, only used these shoes about 10 time over a 7 month period. When I reported to the him that the sole was coming loose on the one shoe on the edge, he informed me that based on the replacement policy he was not in a position to assit me with a replacement.
Not happy with this responce I forwarded the complaint with attached pictures to Wilson's representative for Africa, and got the below responce.
"Hi Danie,
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you but I just returned from overseas.
Regrettably we are unable to replace these shoes. Our policy is exactly the same as New Balances with regards to manufacturing defects. From what I can see on the picture there is definite wear and tear on the shoe and therefore no claim. If a shoe has a manufacturing fault it will generaly break after its first use and we will see it in other pairs as well. All I can assure you is that we sold thousands of that model and had no issues with any returns.
What I can offer you is cost price on any other Wilson shoe that you might want. If you would like this offer please contact mike or e-mail myself to discuss which model.

I am surely not the first and only person that has tried to approach this company with a valid complaint and got this type of responce. Please assist to ensure other buyers are aware of this company's replacement policy, prior to purchasing their products.
