I had purchased Window AC 1.5T(HITACHI)through on 13th April 2010. After two months i.e. July I lodged the complaint that AC's cooling is not effective and it gives much more noise while cut-off compressor.
They(service engg) come on 1-09-2010 for service and it was again told about its cooling and noise. It was told me that cooling is less due to working of coils with dust and noise is normal.
In the night of same day, cooling effect was lost and there is no cooling at all.other features are working normal ie. fan, compressor etc.
Next day i.e. on 2-09-2010, I lodged my complaint to the call centre and then number of calls made to the call center as well as to the service center at jalandhar but no service engg came to attend the call at my place.
On 6th of september an engg came, after examining the Ac, he told me that gas of Ac is leaked. He told me that the reason for gas leakage was rubbing of pipes.I was shocked to listen this how it can happen with HITACHI which is a branded manufacturer of Ac's. I asked him that how these pipes comes in contact with each other, After detailed study I showed that pipes were hold gromat with lock. Gromat was not at the proper place and gromat was moving up and down with hand, which resulted rubbing/collision of pipes and thus leakage of gas.
After that I took the AC to jalandhar service center and next day brought the AC from service center very next day. I showed the back(sheet) of AC which was badly damaged and he tried to rectify the same but he could not rectify the same.
My humble request is
(a) This is a manufacturing defect in the AC and Gromat was not properly placed and locked which causes of gas leakage in 3/4 months. Please replace my AC at your own cost.
(b) Kindly let me know such a big company like HITACHI is taking 5 days to attend the complaint after so many calls. I had already advertised HITACHI AC in my colony due to which 20/24 AC installed in my colleagues.
