Refund Due
I am due a refund from Windstream from overpayment on my final bill. It has now been 2+ months of repeated calls and being told that my refund check was just printed and will be mailed on Friday. Was told that 3 separate times...Now today was told my check was mailed 1 1/2 months ago. Asked to speak with a manager, was refused -Manager name Michelle Flanders - They now will get back to me-ridiculous - If I owed them money you know I would be in collections by now! What's infuriating is that no one cares...Oh well is the attitude - My advise - go wireless, put them out of business!

Deceptive Bundle Packages
Beware of Windstream's Bundle Packages!!! The company will contact you with an unlimited long distance plan, which includes basic phone service, that costs $49.99 a month. This bundle sounds good, right? WRONG! The company fails to include the various fees and taxes that are added to the $49.99. A $49.99 bundle ultimately costs $84.19 a month. Even a single line with no perks runs $26.00 a month.
Do the research and BEWARE of Windstream's various fees and taxes: 911 Service, Subscriber Line Charge, Intrastate Toll Tax/Equalization Surcharge, Gross Receipts Tax Surcharge, Federal USF Fee, State USF Fee, Relay Service Surcharge, Local Number Portability Fee, Interstate Service Fee, Deregulation Fee, Federal Tax, State Tax, City Tax, and County Tax. THESE FEES AMOUNTED TO $34.20 of the $84.19 BILL.
Most cell phone plans offer a better and cheaper deal.
