Scam
I recived 2 phone calls from a Robert at Winner's International stating I had won 2.5 Million dollars( (2M in cash and $500, 000. in cash) promised for the next day. Did I want news people at my house when I received the money? He asked for $250.00 up front and wound up reducing it in half. There were dogs barking in the background. (I was put on hold while he checked on his "security team". I turned down the offer since he wanted cash up front. " Did I want it donated? I so "where" Childrens Hospital in Seattle. I told him I would take his phone number and call him back. I never did call him back so he called back the next day. I now have 2 phone numbers for him. Can anyone do something about these scams???

unending phone calls
So many phone calls: "you must trust me", I know how hard it is finacially, think of how much you can help your family with your "winnings"", " you know you can trust me". So many variations on the same theme.
I was told I had won a lottery that I had entered thru one of several companies I dealt with - he -Bob Kennedy- then listed several car insurance companies, and several grocery stores, figuring I did business with at least one of them. He was right.
They have a great script - lots of empathy, encouragement, they get you talking that's the big danger - they learn more about you to use against you.
We figured out it was a scam and offered to drive to New Jersey to give them the money card in person, because we told them we would NOT do a transfer that was untraceable and unretrievable. OH NO - they don't do business that way! They say they are based in LasVegas, but were in NJ getting ready to bring me my prize of 1.5 million dollars and my 2011 BMW!
Much thanks to DeDeP for letting us know that the 876 prefix is a Jamacian exchange and NOT an 800 variation Everyone please be careful. Another name I heard from was Bob Ex, and that if I wouldn't give them the activation number for the money card then I would wire it thru Western Union to their bank - the (Great) Western Bank in CA (Great came up when I esearched) - I am supposed to get a phone call tomorrow with the account number or some kind of ID, so it will go in their account. If I get it - it will go to the police, I will post it and I'll even let the bank know.
Here are the phone numbers I have received calls from: 876-441-4213, sorry can't find the others, but there is a posting from a guy(they were after is 87 yr old grandmother) that had the same. Good luck and stay strong against Winners International and all other scammers.

scam
A man named Justin called today to inform me that I had won $250, 000 in a sweepstakes that I had obviously NOT entered. He said my check would be in the mail tomorrow and to spend it wisely. However, I would first have to pay the $299 insurance to get it here. I told him just to mail it without the insurance and I would take the risk of it not getting here. He said he couldn't do that, so I asked which bank would be writing the check. He said Bank of America in Auburn, New York. I told him I would call the bank and verify the legitamacy of this sweepstakes and if it proved to be legit, I would call back. Needless to say, I didn't call back! BEWARE!!!

SCAM
A oddly accented man called my sister this afternoon from 18765081585 in Kingston, JM stating that they were calling from UPS and she had won a new Range Rover and $4.5 million. All she needed to do was wire $200 to a banker named 'Ramon McDonald' at address WIJA via Western Union to receive the money and the vehicle. After she told him that she thought it was a scam, the man argued with her and tried to convince her that it was not. He told her that they were located in Las Vegas, NV. When she asked to speak to a manger, he at first told her that there wasn't one available, but that she should call him back in 5 minutes but only speak to someone with the codename - speed and code # 70942. When she insisted on speaking to a manager herself, she was transfered (aka he passed the phone) to a 'David Peterson', who gave her a tracking number that was supposed to be from UPS, but was way too short and came back saying so. When she told him this, he told her that they would send her the tracking number when she gave them the receipt number from Western Union. She said she was not going to do that, and he changed the subject. He asked her a bunch of personal questions about her job and her kids. He then hit on her! He told her she had a nice voice, and asked her if she was single, and how old she was. He then said that she should come visit him in an unnamed tropical country, said that he would "hook her up" so she only had to pay for the plane ticket. He asked her to send him a picture, and made comments about her shape and her beautiful voice. He changed his tone to try to sound seductive and told her all kinds of things that he wanted to do with her if she came to visit, and then tried again to get her to send the $200. When she again refused, he then started telling her about how he needed a mother for his kids, and then he admitted that he was trying to scam her so that he could feed his kids! He said this was the only way that he could feed his kids... essentially he gave her a sob story about these kids, that we don't even think exist considering he didn't even remember how many he had, and what their ages are. He then asked her to try to find it in the kindness of her heart to send him the money for his kids. Needless to say, this was the best laugh my sister and I have had in a long time! What a joke!

winning -2.5 million
I would like the FBI to investigage Winner's International and a Mike Williams who
claims he works for them. I have received several calls each time it's someone different and a different phone number. When I got home this evening I had a message that
a package had been left inside my doors and to call him when I got home so I did
he said I misunderstood the message and that I had won 2.5 million and I could
go to Las Vegas (1354 Presidential Drive) and pick it up or pay over 500.00
to have it delivered. I have received several calls in this regard and generally hang
up on them. But I'm concerned that some people will fall for it and it needs to
be investigated. The number left of my answering machine to reach Mr. William's if876-364-0605
Thank you,
Concered citizen.

Prize SCAM_Fraudulently using UPS's name
Got numerous calls both on home and cell phone from Winners International in the past few days, claiming I have won 5.5 million dollars, as others have been told, because I paid my utility bills on time. They gave me a couple of numbers to call they said were UPS phone numbers (suppose I should alert UPS that its name is being used frauduently). The 1st one connected me to the same group of people; I could even hear the now familiar voices in the the background. The 2nd number gave me a message saying my international call could not be connected as dialed. They got a bit menacing today, starting the first call by asking, impatiently, if I had made that transaction yet and, later in the day, asking me what time I picked up my mail. I alerted the guy the last time that a website out there is saying his org is being investigated by the FBI. Have not heard from him again since then.

SCAM
My grandmother has been receiving calls and has been manipulated into giving money to a Mr. Frank Benjamin for months now. Due to living alone and being lonely, she has fallen victim to the emotional and religious manipulation of these men. She had received letters saying that she has won a lottery and that out of the thousands playing worldwide she has been lucky enough to win 2.5 million. Bombarded with phone calls, and threats, and being asked her personal information so that the prize can be claimed and given to her, she cooperated and sent them money and gave them information. Being told there were men waiting with suitcases of money at the airport, and that everything had been investigated by the FBI and was legal and legitimate, she kept on sending money full-heartedly believing that she won the lottery and that there was a sense of urgency in this matter. Having kept this secret from us, which the men had told her to do (so that no one attempts to steal her $2.5 million prize), we have just recently found out about this sweepstakes she's been giving thousands of dollars to. If you or your loved ones have experienced this, then you too know that it is a scam and that these people (frank Benjamin, marilyn gill, etc) are all a part of a bigger scam...the phone numbers and names change daily..don't fall for this scam!
