won $2.5M and a car from Publishers Clearing House and would have to come up with about $875 to have it wired to my bank
I received a call from Michael Turner of Winners International located supposedly at 64 Raymond, St. Louis, MO 63130, phone 509-723-0983. Told I had won $2.5 Million and a car and would need to get to them $875 to cover expenses of wiring the money to my bank. As an attorney who has become a scam specialist I am intent on catching at least one scammer.

Scam
I received about 50 calls in the past week saying I had won a whopping 9.2 million dollars and that I would. Receive the check tax free from. Donald Trump himself, oh. Joy, anyways all I had to do was send them a check of 400 dollars!!! Isn't that a deal!! They said it was to pay off the shipping and handling??? Well I sent them a check canceled it and later had the guys call me wondering why I canceled the check before they could cash it. Wellitold them "oh silly me of course I'll trust a complete stranger with my money. I recorded all their calls sent it to the police and now they are looking in to it.

3rd Place win of $395,000
May 31, 2011 I received a call around 11:30 AM that I was a 3rd place winner of $395, 000 from Publlishers Clearing House/ Winners International. The check would be delivered to my door at 1:30PM CDT. To receive this check I would have to pay Custom andRegistration Charges of $ 255.00. I said I did not have the money than he reduced it to half amount $127.50. He said I could take it from my Social Security check. I told him NO. His name was Vurchel Whiteman and he was calling from 303 Carson St, Las Vegas NV. He called from 876 403 4074. He than asked me to verify this with the BBB. Their number is 1 876 578 7237 and ask for Billy Anderson.
This is the fourth call I have received in 10 days from Scam artists.

threatening phone calls
A man with an extremely thick accent (possibly Nigerian) claiming to be from Winners International called my home in Colorado, asked for my daughter, and proceeded to indicate that a package would be delivered today containing $1.5 million. When I indicated that I knew it was a scam the man asked me if I would be home all day. I told him it was none of his business. He told me to go to the window and "look across the road and you will see a man with a high-power sniper rifle aimed at your window and things will be bad for you if you don't listen to me." The telephone number that showed up on my caller ID was 876-403-4998 and said Jamaica. (I think it was New York.) I contacted the FBI but they said that they do not investigate these things.

FRAUD/SCAM
My mother received a call from a Jason Baker at (315) 704-3315 claiming to be from Winners International, who handles the check distribution for Reader's Digest. He told my mom to send a $100 money transfer to a lawyer named David Ramsey who was currently in Jamaica for business. I asked why an American company would need a lawyer in Jamaica and continued to grill this bag of douche until I got sick of his liews and told him to never call my mother again and slammed the phone down. BEWARE of these dirtbags.

Scam
Mr. John Green just phoned to tell me I am a winner of $2, 500, 000.00 from Winners International. Prize Number 665L. His phone number is 702-900-9412. And, was I over 65 and an American citizen. No account of what I might have done or why I was selected. But, I was to send them $499.00 ( stated as 4 - 9- 9 ) by loading the funds onto a green.moneypak reloadable debit card, purchased from a CVS store. He is going to call me back in a few hours to get the debit card number. Once he get it, he will transmit the cheque for 2.5 million $ to me to be delivered by a FedEx employee. Of course he will. No doubt in my mind. I hope he is holding his breath.

My family life theated
A Rev. John Taylor called me on the morning of April 14, 2011. (Cell 876-576-7376) I made the mistake of listening to there scam. We had won the $2.5 M and a Mercedes Benz and needed a Green Dot MoneyPak card for $300. Pretty much the same as every one else. I played along. I waited a couple hours and called the number (702-347-8290) that was given to me. This was suppose to be the company president, Dewain Miller. I led him to think I purchased the Green Dot Card. When they asked me about the card I let them know I was playing them. At first, they tried to convince me that they were a trustworthy company. Then he got very mad and began to curse at me. Telling me to f... myself. He said he hated white people and he didn't understand why God created them. That is why he robs American people. Then proceeded to threaten me and my families life. He told me he was going to have me cut up into peaces. He also said he was going to pronounce a curse over our family. I finely hug up on him. With in a flew minutes he called back, my wife picked up, and they tried to speak a curse over the phone. She hug up. They again called back and left a life threatening message on our answering machine. This may seem pretty far fetched but is quite true.

Sweepstakes Winner
I recieved a call this afternoon from Winners International out of Las Vegas and the gentleman asked to speak to my husband. He left a number 702-418-1979. My husband called them at this number early this evening and was told he had won a Sweepstake in the amount 2.7 Million and a new Mercedes. The prize was going to be delivered at 11 AM tomorrow. Then, he was told they wanted $4, 600 by credit card or wire today in order to deliver the prize tomorrow. My husband told them when they come tomorrow with the prize he would give them a check for $4, 600. The man said "have it your way" and hung up. BEWARE!! You don't pay money when you win a sweepstakes. My husband will be calling the Attorney General's office in the morning to report this.

Lotter Scam
Guy called my husband claiming we would be receiving a delivery today at 3 pm and he was making sure we were going to be home. I called them back and gave them a fake name, they told me they had called me to tell me I had won $375k cashiers check, $275k in cash, a 2010 mercedes (its 2011 for pete's sake) and a gift basket with a 42" plasma tv. I strung the guy along for over 15 minutes - told him I would go right away to the Western Union to wire the $375 processing fee. I kept him going until I asked if it would be a problem that I was a Federal Interal Revenue agent. I think he Sh*t his pants!
