Stay away from Wired Plastic / The Bancorp / Galileo Processing! Apparently I just financed their Christmas party. I received a direct deposit to my business name, which is not against their policy, and they requested I provide documents proving my identity. I sent them the requested documents, along with a copy of the invoice to prove the money was mine. Almost a week later, no response. And I mean ... no response.
Backing up a bit, though, the whole thing started with a call from them. They hung up after two rings, did not leave a voice-mail, and promptly suspended my account and marked it as fraud. Because, since I was receiving money to the direct deposit information they provided and obeying all aspects of the user agreement, I must be committing fraud, right?
The catch-22 is, by suspending the card I was not able to navigate to their customer service department. Every system they have for interfacing with customer support would block my attempts to contact them.
The real kicker, after hunting down a phone number through their corporate website and being transferred by their receptionist, the bastards charged me a customer service fee!
Four days to Christmas and no money for presents and no explanation for what happened to my money. Avoid Wired Plastic at all cost!
