T Mobile replacement phones
They advertised T Mobile replacement phones. The phone they sent me could not be used without a subsity code. The foreign operators at their customer service center kept promising to send the code in a week, naturally it never happened. The phone is useless for any purpose. Scam artists.

False Advertising-No Follow Through
DO NOT USE WIREFLY!!! Their website advertises fantastic deals and they are TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! After a week of endless emails and phone calls to their Customer Service (oxymoron), they have still failed to port a number so the equipment can be sent. They blame the lack of follow-through on their part on AT&T. However, a 2-hour phone call to AT&T proved that Wirefly was the actual bottleneck.

To make matters worse in resolving the problem, Wirefly outsources to India: connections are terrible and accents difficult to understand. Although after 4 requests for the same verification information, it got easier to know what the questions were...there just were no solutions offered.

I was told by AT&T, they are known for assessing penalities on users if any changes occur to the contract, even if it is due to their ineptness.

I would never use or recommend this company. I doubt if they have any repeat customers! BEWARE!!! Any company that is this much trouble on the front end would be a nightmare to deal with down the road, I am sure.

False Advertising - refused to honor purchase
I purchased a TMobile Blackberry 8900 today (6/15/09)on Wirefly for $49-- order went through, credit card charged and then Wirefly sends me this email saying Ooops! we made a mistake in our posted price so we CANCELLED your order.

Last time I checked, false / misleading advertising is against the law in CA as well as 36 other states. When a consumer relies on the advertised price, follows through and makes the purchase- the seller has to honor the price. The deal is done. The offer has been accepted by the consumer's acts.

In California, for example, violations such as false and/or misleading advertising under the CA Business & Professions Codes 17200 & 17500 allow consumers to not only seek enforcement of their purchase, but the consumer can act as an attorney general under the law...so the consumer can sue for disgorgement of profits, treble damages, and attorneys fees... it adds up pretty quickly...

Am wondering how many other people were swindled by Wirefly canceling orders after the fact????

Awful company
I signed up for extending my service contract with ATT through Firefly. Firefly made an error in my address and refused to correct it! They insisted the phones would be returned, then they would ship to the correct address.

Essentially they made me responsible for their error and refused to update the shipping address with FedEx. I called Fedex and they refutted what Wirefly was saying.

So I found this company to be real bull headed, refusing to provide any customer service and real idiots. The phones were delivered by FedEx to the wrong address, where they were promply stolen and put in service. Then ATT cut off my existing service. Dealing with ATT is just as bad also, they have a partnership with this company evidently. Even though I called ATT to warn them about this train wreck, they still disconnected my old cell phones. ATT refused to connect my old phones to service. Had to report the new phones stolen in order to get ATT to shut off the service to the thiefs. Now ATT is saying I will need to go to one of their outlets and update my account and pay a ton of $ for what!!!

I am ready to go back to land lines and will never do business with the fools and crooks at WireFly. In case you have not figured it out, this comany is really operating out of red China.

Service/agreements/sales/misinformation,more
I was taken. Not just by Wirefly, and their offer of a free phone (which cost me around $280.00), also along with "free phone, if I signed a 2 year contract with one of the 'agents', in this case AT&T, they would also provide a protection service, (lost, stolen, broken phone, etc), for an additional at that time is was 49.95 for the year. The service NCOA, went bankrupt just 20-25 days after I had already signed, and paid all that this free phone deal entailed. After around 3 months or so, my phone was stolen right out of my apartment unit. I did everything required, I.E. Police report, I notified AT&T, (who claimed they didn't know anything about any insurance, or Wirefly either!), so I then also contacted Wirefly who did notify AT&T that my phone was reported missing/stolen/lost, so I would not have to pay for any charges, etc. just in case. Well that was March 2008, I purchased this "free phone, signed a 2 year contract, etc in October, the 27th, 2007), do the math, today, I still have no response from NCOA, Wirefly wants NOTHING to do with me, I cannot get a sales receipt to help me in case I get to file a claim, along with the other thousands of people who were talked into the NCOA service plan, through WIREFLY. Does this sound correct? Or is this a little side scam? Yes. AT&T claims they do not know of any Wirefly? Or was that just some misinformation directed at someone who asks too many questions on delicate subject matters? I don't know, I have no one to speak to that would/could understand this situation!

So, beware people, NOTHING IS FREE, and be very careful of these it's to good to be true offers from such a well known glamorous Company like WIREFLY.

Respectfully,

Kim E Goraya

NOCA? Civil suit is PENDING if people can hang, and put up with the legalities involved. We will win, just takes time. So I choose to think of the actual money I did pay, as being in a savings account!

monies refunded back to my account
Order # 570517902 Old cell# 215-713-4687 Wirefly sent me an email on 12/22/08 stating they were refunding me back 49.99 which was taken out of my account for insurance for this order#. I spoke someone named surej and was told to call 1-800-654-5590. The gentlemen that I spoke with was through this phone # 1-866-629-7760. Instead of the 49.99 refunded back to my account there is a hold on my account in the amount of 49.99. This is stealing, now the amount to be refunded back to my account should be 99.98 dollars. I am especting my money A.S.A.P if I have to take this situation up on legal action I will. This is not right and I want my money back now and I shouldn't have to wait for two weeks or more. This account has been cancelled and within the time frame allowed for me to cancel. I want my money put back into my account ending in 9010. I am tired of emailing wirefly and now you, being told I'm going to be refunded and turn around a charge me again for something that I don't have, this situation is working my last nerve and I need this problem to be resolved, I'm tired. There was no problem when you took the monies from my account now kindly forsee your way of not having a problem putting my money back into my account. Thank you Deborah Murphy

Wirefly/Simplexity Fraud and Un-fair service‏
Hi,
I am writing this complaint against on line phone retailer wire fly. Who are not only very unproffesional in their Business & communication but also are trying to Fraudly charging me $250.

I upgraded my phones for 2 year contract with AT&T via wirefly on line store in april 2008. I updated both phone lines with new 2 new phones as both phones were free If I buy 2 years agreement with no features (e.g text, e-mail etc).

On October 2 2008 I received a letter from SIMPLEXITY (1866-635-7400) Stating that My credit card (American Express) was charged with $250.00 because I have disconned My 2nd Line (209-483-7417), which is not correct because my both lines were active, they also stated that previous attempts to contact me failed. I advised her that I have never received any communication from them what so ever. I tried to explain to her that My both Lines with AT&T were still active and I am still an AT&T customer and I have made no changes to my account. Then the Female rep got angry at me and stated I need to call wirefly, I asked to talk to her supervisor but she hand up on me.

I called wirefly (1888-378-6509) 5-10 times talked to all customer, service reps also supervisors no one is able to help me but instead either they will hang up one or just transfer me to other department. Then all of the sudden my a/c (Order number#421804432-e2)was closed.

On 11/24/2008 I called wirefly (1888-378-6509) account receivable department and talk to their rep name John who advised me that only way he'll be able to resolve this issue is if AT&T can verify that the Line is still active. I had AT&T do a 3 way call with wirefly A/C recv. rep John and AT&T rep Ashley verified that both lines are active. For some reason John hanged up on us. I called back 5-10 times he kept on disconnecting the phone. Finally I talked to some female rep on same number who advised me that John is saying that the charges can not be reversed. I called back after 30 minutes and John from wirefly picked up the phone and stated that no matter what I do he'll not reverse the charges even if the charges were incorrect charged in 1st place. He added thet I can talkt o customer service all I want but that;s the way he is going to do it and he refused to have me talk to a manager or supervisor and hand up on me.

This kind of service is not right and very un-proffesional. this is fraud and I'll appreciate if you can help on this.

fradulent insurance sales
I was reeled in by wirefly through their fabulous free phone deals and purchased 3- palm Centro phones with insurance and 2 year contracts with Sprint. I loved my phone and had no idea about the insurance until I lost my phone at a football game and tried to get a replacement. I was denied due to Negligence. Yes, it was my fault that my phone fell out of my case in a porta potty and the insurance company made sure to let me know. The worst part is that when i purchased the insurance, i made sure to ask if it was the same as if i paid a monthly fee and was told yes. The reality is that i was ripped off and now Sprint won't let me purchase insurance with them because i went through Wirefly. I could never talk to a human on the phone with either company. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY. DO NOT PURCHASE PHONES FROM THEM.
