On 3/6/08 my home was slammed by a tornado. I hired Mr. Bryan Wolfe to reroof the building before the ins. settlement. Mr. Wolfe ASSURED me and every homeowner who suffered damage that he would accept what he insurance paid. I told him OK, do it. I am a female living alone. I was scared, shook up and anxious to get my property back to normal. Mr. Wolfe charged me over $5200.00 for approx $1700.00 worth of shingles! He charged me twice for an upgrade. In the end I paid him over $6400.00 for a $4000.00 roof. He attempted to charge me for 22 windows when I have 18. Attempted to charge me for work not requested. Attempted to charge me $400.00+ for 4 4x4's, $3800.00 to paint the trim on a 1300 sq ft house, etc. Mr. Wolfe is a thief and liar. He knows how to "adjust" the bill and costs to his favor, to where it would cost more to take him to court than what the over charges are. He told me that he is a native of this city and has been in business for over 35 years. I did not get caught in a fly-by-night scheme. He has not answered any of my letters. In fact, I received an UGLY letter from his attorney last week telling my to shut up about this or he will sue me for slander and damage to his character. Mr Wolfe bragged that he went over to Miss, Ala, Fla and LA after Hurricane Katrina and did over 40, 000 roofs! He did not mention if he had FEMA of govt contracts. I do believe that Mr. Wolfe used illegal labor. Not one of his crew spoke or understood English. When I asked him if his guys were legals he assured me that they were, but would not/could not provide documentation.
