The sign by the FM 1960 roadside advertised $2.75 Crawfish, which led me to chose to dine there with my daughter due to the discounted price, yet at the time of the payment, I was charged $3.99 per pound. I addressed the issue with management, and was told by the manager that he would pay me the difference in cash. The manager returned saying "the owner will not let me refund the diference because everyone who eats here knows that our advertised special is only good on Tuesdays."
I and my daughter arrived at 3:37 PM today, Wednesday, May 6, 2009. There were few guests in the restaurant. We waited at the front of the restaurant for ten minutes before acknowledged, by the manager, and when we were seated and asked for our beverage order, it took another ten minutes to get served. Our order placed, we watched the prepared food sit on the counter for seven minutes before a busboy- A BUSBOY - served the food to our table. Our waitress only returned to our table a grand total of four times throughout the entire visit.
We had requested a non-smoking seat, yet less than 15 feet from our table, employees, including the manager, congregated and were smoking.
The failure of the restaurant to meet the advertised price is a violation of the law, which I did inform the manager, who stated thet he "knew." The smoking issue I am sure is a health code violation, and I have never suffered through such poor service.
The Wolfies I am complaining of is located at 4438 FM 1960, Houston, Texas and the phone # is 281-440-9653. This was my first visit, and will be my last, to this location. The Wolfies location in Spring/The Woodlands is more pleasant to visit and I have never experienced any of these problems at that location, but due to the treatment i received at the 1960 location today, I may never again patronize the other location either.
At the time I left the restaurant, I noticed the sign by the roadside was changed. It now says "$39 crawfish"
$39 ? ! A poor attempt to cover up their error in my opinion.
