Based partially on recommendation of Woodall's and Trailer Life, I booked (sight unseen) a premium campsite for seven months in the Quail Run RV Park located in Wesley Chapel, FL. I also questioned the booking clerk about the campground shower facilities. When I arrived (after paying $1200 in advance) I discovered that their ratings for bathroom facilities was a joke. The park has only two showers for the men and two for the women. They are located in individual rooms (along with a toilet). There are no shower curtains in any of the four showers and water sprays out into the floor in front of the sink and onto any clothing which is left hanging on the racks adjacent to the shower stall. The shower cannot be adjusted for flow nor temperature and is rigged with a push button toggle which cuts off the water after ten seconds of operation. To get more water, one must again push the button.
The day after checking into the park, I wrote the management a letter telling them that the showers are unacceptable. As of today, two weeks later, I have heard nothing from the park management. Unfortunately, as I had made several doctor and dental appointments at nearby locations and there are no decent campgrounds available at this time for me to relocate, I am stuck here for awhile.
Since checking in I have also come to realize that, since the park is adjacent to I-75, the traffic noise is loud and constant - 24 hours a day.
I believe Woodall's and Trailer Life need to re-examine their recommendations of this park. Had I known of the true condition of the park, I would have booked elsewhere.
