In December 2008 I had little time to vacate the apartment I had been living in to move just a few blocks away. My estimated move date was December 31st, right after the holidays, therefore money was definitely tight.

I called a few different places to get estimates for moving charges, and at the time, Woodbridge Moving was the cheapest and was able to move me on the date I needed. They always say that cheaper isn't always better, and I certainly learned my lesson.

Although the crew of 3 men were friendly to me, they identified themselves as family and proceeded to argue throughout the time like such in my presence. The company does NOT use protective blankets to wrap around the furniture and stated that it would be an extra fee to do such. They did not even come with so much as a screwdriver or drill, and I had to dig my power tools out of a box in order for them to take the feet off the couch, the bed apart, etc. At the new apartment, they even had to ask my landlord to borrow some of her tools...pretty embarassing for a "moving company".

When it was all said and done, and after the chaos of unpacking and settling in, I noticed scratches on the wooden edge of my couch, they knocked the bottom piece off my entertainment center and put it back on uneven, causing the entire unit to wobble, and chipped the bottom edge of my Oak dresser. To top it off, I noticed a piece of cable-related equipment to be missing...keep in mind the moving company is the one who disconnected & took apart my TV and the entire entertainment center and loaded it on the truck.

Attempts to call the owner, Ron, is a waste of time. He spoke to me in an unprofessional tone, kept referring to me as "lady", and when confronted with my concerns, he conviently always said he had another call coming in and hung up on me.

I TOTALLY REGRET using this company and wish I had spent the extra $200 more on another company I had received a quote from, which I had used in the past. Like I said, at the time I was trying to save money because of the holidays but in the end, I'm probably out $200 between the damage to the furniture and stolen equipment (Ron, the company owner, told me to confront my old landlord and actually said my old landlord must have entered my apartment in the time we were gone moving me a few blocks away. My old landlord wasn't even in town that day!!!)

FYI...when you google or yahoo the company name, you may get 2 results...one in South Plainfield, one in Sewarren...it is one and the same company. The South Plainfield # is how I contacted the company, but the invoice has the Sewarren address on it...
