Credit Card Processing Nightmare
I am the owner of a computer repair shop in Veneta, Oregon. A little over a month ago, a representative of this company came into my office and promised me a positive experience with this company in helping me to process credit cards in my shop. Since that time, I have had nothing but headaches, and unanswered questions. I was told that I would only be charged around $50 per month, and I would be told ahead of time, what date I would be charged, so that I knew to have the funds available. That failed to happen. I was hit with charges right away into my account, resulting in several overdraft and insufficient funds fees. I made only one transaction into the account, using the machine, which funds I never got to use, because it was never available because of all the charges made by the processor, and all the subsequent over draft fee’s that were generated as a result of
these charges. Then the account continued to be hit by further charges that were unexplained to me. The representative refunded me $100 in cash out of his pocket to offset this issue, but that did not even come close to reversing the large negative balance, nor put it into the positive close to $200 where it should have been. I have called and left messages with this guy, and most of the other companies involved with this company that I no longer wish to try to work with any of these institutions in order to process credit cards. As of
yet, no one has returned any of my calls. I want this policy canceled and I feel that they have breached the contract, not me. On top of everything else, our account was just hit again today for the ridiculous amount of $667.15, putting us into the negative -$404, before further overdraft charges and insufficient funds fees! This
is after receiving a letter that they are going to charge me $769.25 with absolutely no explanation as to why I am being charged! So far i have gotten bills from 4 different companies associated with this stupid credit card machine! What the f*&%#! Lease Finance Group LLC, First American Payment Systems, Woodforest National Bank, & Merchants Choice Payment Solutions! I keep seeing things in the paperwork that also says Transtech, plus the rep had his own company name that i cant even remember now. We have gone to our Bank, and challenged all of the charges and instructed them not to allow any more charges to go through. Please tell me how to return the equipment and end this nightmare. If someone does not make this right, I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau, and any other authoritative agencies that I can find, as well as take legal action.

Disappearing posts
I checked my account balance around a little after 2:00am this morning. It showed $700.00 and 2 refunds had posted that I was expecting to get. This morning around 6:00am I get my Woodforest email balance and it showed I was overdrafted!!!
I paid a bill last night and after paying the bill and making 2 other small purchases it showed $366.00 to the good.
All of my POS transactions were there and they were there as I checked this account last night before 12:00am.
Has anyone else had this to happen? This makes my second time for this stupid stuff with them.
Can anyone tell me why this happens??

OD Fees/Rearrangement of transactions to cause OD fees
My 19yr old and 17yr children opened an account at Woodforest. It was their choice as they felt the hours fit their schedules best. During sign up, I was there and we ALL discussed NOT having this "od protection"- i even told them my older child had a bad experience and that was not something that needed to happen. About six weeks later we noticed about 180 in OD fees on the account. My son used that stupid card to do everything so each 3-4 dollar transaction cost extra 34. At that time we called and the BRANCH MANAGER told ME and my SON that both kids had to go in to sign something to take the protection off the account. I was upset and told them we knew the person we talked to and what was said and she still said both kids needed to come in. Their schedules were not going to be same for about a month, but I just told my son to print out the transactions to ensure that he had money in the account. He was very faithful about that, and kept those prinouts of balance in folder. My daughter made an error thinking her check went direct one week and she went to ATM to get what would be just a little less than her check. Three days later the account was overdrawn by nearly 550 mostly due to fees. I called and talked to MY bank who informed me that their policy was to do transactions as they happened but that we should check with Woodforest who may do it different. And different is what they do. They spent an hour trying to convince me that ALL merchants hold transactions for up to 7 days before they run them. My husband is a retail manager and said no truth to that!!! They were moving and holding them in pending in order to get OD money because that "protection" was in place!!! My child could prove that there was money in account and there were still massive od charges. I told them to not use that stupid card and just get money and even that did not work. To this date they have been charged over 1000 in fees!!! Now the latest is that my daughter asked about working out a pay agreement but closing the account and was told it would have to wait a MONTH so that more fees could accrue! By the time they can "work out something (which is not a guarantee) there will be another 400 in fees min. THis is such a scam that I am filing every complaint I can.

Overdraft fees
Upon working at Walmart I was unfortunately talked into opening an account at this bank seeing it is right there i figured it was a convenience. Little to my knowledge it was their convenience. They said that if i ran short on money i could overdraw and would be charged 34.00 but to make sure i took the money from the ATM and take what i needed to avoid multiple charges. Well How convenient they failed to mention they like to hold your debits for a few days so when you do overdraw they nail you for every single purchase made. Then when you call them they offer to refund you 34.00 until you take their online course and even after you take their online course they will only refund you another 34.00. So in the last month they screwed me out of 306.00. Would someone please put an end to the banks taking advantage of people like this? If you use your card as a Debit it should go through as a debit. After all isn't this why it is called a DEBIT CARD?

STEALS CLIENTS MONEY
I AM CARING FOR MY PARENTS WHO ARE BOTH DYING. UPON STARTING TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THEIR FINANCES, I OPENED A CHECING ACCT. WITH WOODFOREST BANK. AFTER A PERSON STOLE A CHK FROM THEIR ACCT., AND CASHED IT FOR594.00, I REQUESTED TO CLOSE THIS ACCT. THE DAY IT CAME IN FOR PMNT. WOODFOREST KEPT IT OPEN FOR OVER 2 WEEKS!! IN ADDITION TO ALL THE CHARGES FROM THE COMPANIES THAT HAD RECEIVED PAYMENT BY CHECK FROM US, WOODFOREST CHARGED US OVER 2500.00 WORTH OF OVERDRAFTS. IN ADDITION THEY MOVE PAYMENTS AROUND(EVEN TAKING OFF AN ALREADY POSTED PAYMENT AND MOVING IT TO A LATER DATE) SO THAT THEY CAN CHARGE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF OD'S. I AM FED UP!!! THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SUED. THEY AR CLEARLY BREAKING THE FDIC LAWS AND I HAVE PROOF. IF ANYONE ELSE IS INVOLVED IN A CLASS ACTION, PLEASE POST THE INFO SO I MAY JOIN! THESE CROOKS NEED TO BEIN JAIL! IT HAS GOTTEN SO BAD THAT MY DYING DISABLED PARENTS HAVE NO FOOD. AT LEAST I KNOW JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED EVENTUALLY - IF NOT IN THIS WORLD THEN IN THE NEXT. I WOULD SUGGEST WOODFOREST EMPLOYEES THINK ABOUT THAT!

Stole Money
Went to Woodforest ATM to pull out $400 for my fiance. ATM jammed & only dispensed $280. I looked up into the machine to see if anymore money was where I could pull it. I immediately went to the teller to report the shortage. I hadn't even put the money in my purse & had the receipt which stated that $400 was dispensed. The teller asked me if I was on my fiance's account & told her no. She told me that he would have to call the 800 number or come up to the bank to do anything. I called my fiance & told him what had happened & that he would have to come up to the bank (which meant he had to leave work as well). In the mean time while I was waiting with the cash on the counter in front of the teller who decided to just ignore me from that point, someone else came & used the ATM. I happened to see him right as he was pulling his receipt. I went up to him & told him that the machine had jammed, he just smiled & said thank you & left. Once my fiance arrived & showed his drivers license, the teller pulled up his account & then called another employee over to pull the ATM cash box to count it out to see if it was in balance. They carried into a back room a metal box & also had cash in hand. After a few minutes they came out & told us that the ATM balanced & that we would have to talk to the manager who came in later in the day and that they would have the manager call us back.
We ended up calling the manager, Brie Gibbs, who informed us that we would have to wait until the ATM was counted out again at 3:00 am to see if in balance. We told her about the gentleman that had used the ATM after I had used it & that most likely the $120 that I was shorted was dispensed to the this person.
We called the following day & was told that Brie was not available & that we would have to talk with the Assist Mgr, Marisol. We went up to the bank again, told her what all had transpired. Gave her the receipt which had the date & time. I told her about the gentleman that used the ATM after me & before it was counted out, gave his description. Marisol issued a dispute form & told my fiance & myself that it would be 2-10 business days before we would hear anything because they would be reviewing the tape of the ATM.
2 weeks later we receive a letter stating that they verified that the ATM dispensed $400 at the time that was listed on our receipt. End of matter.
They absolutely refused to review the video on the ATM which would have shown myself counting the cash, looking confused, recounting & then walking away to the teller. Followed by the gentleman pulling cash & looking at his receipt. They would have seen that what we told them was correct. It is very frustrating when you have an institute that just doesn't care about their customers & treats you in this respect. So we are out the $120 & the gentleman that followed my on the ATM scored some extra cash.

employee relations
I was once employed with Woodforest as a manager. I was let go because one of my employees made up a story to the HR dept. She was on the verge of being fired and knew it was coming so she got everyone together that she all went to school with(small town) and said the I mistreated the employees. I was never contacted about the situation and came into work one day and was told that I was let go without warning. I also believe it had to do with the outlandish sale goals that were placed on the branch. It hard to get people to open accounts when no one in town would accept a check written on the bank.

Awful bank
Wal-mart who proudly services Woodforest National Banks in their super centers has once again found a way to screw the "American Public!" Two years ago I went an opened a second chance checking at the bank and opened both a personal and a business account. The business, being seperate from my personal with it's own EIN and LLC documents and company name, mailing address, phone, ect. Due to a large amount of NSF checks returned to my business account, Woodforest took it upon themselves to transfer everything in my pesonal account to my business saying they could "legally do that". Then my personal account became overdrawn due to checks that were out! I was so furious, that when I closed my business, that year, I filed for personal and business bankruptcy! Last week I had to go to their bank to cash a check that was drawn on them, not only did they keep my check, they refused to give it back to me when they told me they were collecting on an old debt! That they could legally do that! It didn't matter to them that I had no groceries and no gas to drive back. My children were with me and it was the most horrible thing I have ever had to encounter! I thought that was why in opening businesses we get LLC and EIN numbers and why when we file bankrutpcy "we are protected"... Way to go Wal-mart! This bank also charges the Blue Collar American Worker, $3 daily as their accounts stay overdrawn! Wow, if you are paid once a month, that really adds up... Is this legal? Stay away from this bank! AND STAY AWAY FROM WAL-MART! Sam never wanted his store to be part of scams or fraud to the Americans he loved so much!

Pending/rearranging order of posted transactions
I've had major issues with Woodforest holding EVERY SINGLE DEBIT CARD transaction in a pended status for 5-7 days and then rearranging the order that they post the items in an attempt to overdraw the account to receive the maximum number of NSF fees. I called customer service to complain because I have an item that has been pending for nearly a week!!! They told me that 'its not their fault - the merchants are not collecting on the transactions; therefore, the items are pended". You mean to tell me that EVERY SINGLE MERCHANT (since I've been a member of the bank) is waiting 5 - 7 days to collect their funds???
I DONT THINK SO!! They should be legally bound to post the items in the order that the transactions occur instead of pending the items and changing the dates of the pended item to reflect the CURRENT DATE (not the date of the transaction).

Check cashing
I was an employee at Woodforest National Bank for 3 years. I left for a better opportunity at another financial institution. I wanted to write a check off my other bank account to deposit into Woodforest to make my car payment and they claimed they have a "new rule" that they can't accept TO ME FROM ME checks any more. There would be an automatic hold placed on my check from the other bank where I WORK for 7 business days!!! I have never written a bad check before in my life and I am definitely not going to write one off of my new job!!! THAT"S CRAZY!!! The regional manager, the branch manager and the assistant manager have came up with this all on their own. From what I understand it's not a "WOODFOREST" policy. I am very disappointed in this bank.
