I recently moved out of my apartment that I was renting in woodridge apartments. I had lived there approximately 3 years. During that 3 years I paid my rent every month on time, live there without my security buzzer working, and my screen to my balcony not working however, they did come to fix my buzzer but said they would have to come back and never did. I didn't complain at all I figure they had enough to deal with from all the other complaints from the other tenants. Now when I moved out I gave more than the 30 days notice prior to me leaving. I had the apartment cleaned, carpet cleaned, replaced light bulbs and stove reflectors. I informed the manager that there was one reddish stain in which she said they would charge $40 I said ok keep the deposit which was more than enough. Well I just received a letter in the mail where they are charging me $325 for several white stains on the carpet in which they charged $40 each stain there were no white stains. There was only one red stain which they charged $40 which they should have. Also, they charged $20 for the reflectors guess I didn't purchase the correct ones. They also charged for removal of a phone line in which I had permission from the apartment manager prior to having the line installed. I am so surprised to see that are charging me this amount since there was only one red stain that should have cost me $40. They kept my deposit and charging me $40 I wouldn't recommend anyone rent from there. I was probably the only tenant that spent that much time cleaning and leaving it in the condition it was in. They only had to remove the reddish stain and that was it. I wish I had taken pictures now I am left with no recourse except for to pay it because I do not want this to affect my credit negatively.
