Credit Card/Collection Agency
I have had a Venue Credit Card for about two years. This company does their payments and collections through World Financial Capital Bank, which is the worst company I have EVER dealt with for credit cards. Everything was fine with my account for about four months, and then my billing statements started to not show up via mail anymore, even though I was not signed up for paperless statements. Because of this, I was charged over $200 in late fees in just several months, and when I finally realized it, they would not take any of them off because it had been so long. I still was not receiving my statements, so I signed up for EFC transfer online to be taken out of my bank account every month. This went fine for 3 months, and then they shut it off without telling me and charged me a late fee when I didn't make my first payment. I called, and they said their policy was that EFC only last 3 months, and after that they refused to turn it back on for me, and the website changed so I could no longer do it myself. Everytime my payment was late I was called once, every hour from 7am-8pm, and had to talk to a customer service person (never one without an accent that made it impossible to understand). This company is horrible, its associates are horrible, their problem solving skills are seriously lacking, and they somehow feel they have the right to just make changes to your account without notification before or after they do it. I have since paid off my account and closed it immediately. If you can help it, look into who is behind the credit card company first--if its WFCB don't even bother.
