After using my Express Card in July, I set up to have monthly payments deducted from my checking acct thru online banking. I schedule the first payment to be deducted on 7/26. My payment is due on the 21st of the month. Since I didn't owe anything in July (since I just used the card and my payment would be due in August) I wanted the payment to be posted after the 26th and appear on my August statement.
I knew the payments were coming out of my checking acct each month on the 26th. Therefore I was not checking my Express Statements (big mistake).
Although my payment is due on the 21st, my statement cycle doesn't end until the 27th or 28th of the month. Nice...
So the payments left my checking acct on the 26th and posted at WFNNB/Express on the 27th. According to them is was 7 days late.
Each month, they were charging me a late fee and reporting me to the Credit Bureau for being 30 days late.
The entire time I thought I was a month ahead.
Since when are billing cycles and billing due dates different ???
When I called, the customer service rep was rude and stated that it was clearly stated in the Terms and Conditions.
First of all...who of us actually read the terms and conditions.
I read them after that...and it is NOT clearly stated . I've been to the website and the Cardholder Agreement is not listed.
I went to the website of another store "Limited" that WFNNB issued credit cards. I went to "apply for card". They have a big statement that you need to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Credit Card Agreement prior to applying for the card. Guess What...
Neither contract was available to read.
This company is underhanded, their customer service is unprofessional and rude.
I will be sending my shredded Express Card to Ms. Robin Wooton, Customer Relations Mgr, World Fin'l Network Nat'l Bank, 4590 E Broad St, Columbus OH 43213.
I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Just a note to make you chuckle...that have an A+ rating.
Everyone who has had a problem with this company needs to file a BBB complaint and send a letter to Ms. Wooton.
