I PURCHASED A 1955 OLDSMOBILE USING THE TELPHONE FROM WORLDWIDE AUCTIONEERS.
FOR THE PRICE OF 60, 500. BEFORE THE AUCTION I REVIEWED WORLDWIDE'S CATALOG THAT DISCRIBED THE CAR as QUOTE( THE EXTERIOR SPORTS A LASER STRAIGHT BODY WITH NO WAVES OR RUST REPAIR OF ANY SORT.BETTER THAN FACTORY FRESH WOULD BE AN APT DESCRIPTION OF THE EXTERIOR.LIKEWISE THE SUSPENSION WAS DONE TO FACTORY STANDARDS.VIRUALLY EVERY SURFACE INSIDE INSIDE THE CAR APPEARS AS NEW FROM THE FACTORYWITH EXCELLENT CARPETS AND POWER TOP AS WELL.RIGHT DOWN TO THE GLOSS PAINT, EVERY SURFACE IS PURFECT AND AS INTENDED RIGHT OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE IN 55. BEFORE THE AUCTION, I HAD AN TELPHONE CONVERSATION WITH THIER REPRESENTIVE, MR JOHN LYONS WHO INSPECTED THE CAR FOR ME AND CONFIRMED THAT THIS CAR WAS AS GOOD AS THE THE AUCTION CATALOG HAD DISCRIBED. I THEN PROCEEDED TO BID AND PURCHASE THE CAR DURRING THE AUCTION OF 4-2-09. AFTER RECIEVING THE CAR I FOUND THAT THE BODY WAS RUSTED OUT BELOW THE RIGHT DOOR, DRIVERS DOOR AND THE HOOD WAS OUT OF ALINEMENT, CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS MISFITED AND POWER LIFT NOT WORKING, FRONT SPRINGS HAD BEEN CUT SO THAT THE STEERING ARM HIT EXHAUST PIPE AND THE FENDER SKIRTS HAD BEEN CUT OUT ON THE INSIDE AND NOT STOCK. I CONTACTED JOHN LYONS AND JOHN KRUSE OF WORLDWIDE AUCTIONEERS INFORMING THEM OF THE CONDITION AND THE COST OF $8, 375.00 TO REPAIR THE CAR TO THE CONDITION OF AS ADVERTIZED. AFTER MANY E MAILS JOHN KRUSE OFFERED A SMALL CONSIDERATION OF MONEY ON FUTURE BUSINESS WITH HIS COMPANY. I DID NOT ACCEPT HIS UNACCEPABLE OFFER.
