Bogus Travel Offer
Donated our car to Kars-4-Kids and got this 3day 2 night travel offer. The company will not guarantee a reservation over the phone. Have to send in a $50 deposit. They then claim to choose a hotel which gets our deposit but will not tell what the hotel is. We then contact the hotel to get it back. Glad to have read this website because it sounds like a scam. They're not getting a dime from me.
Shame on Kars-4-Kids for doing business with a company like this. Tried to call them twice to complain but was not successful.

Stalling on travel award!
Vacation award stalled with three returns of information mailed. Approaching deadline on offer. Asking for Social Security Numbers and copies of two credit cards, both sides with no explanation. I doubt the security of my personal information.
Per reader, I would gladly join in a class action lawsuit against this company and it's affiliates, The award was from Global Travel. I have received no help from these people.

Bogus offers!
It is now May 2008 and this company continues to aggravate and rip off consumers. I received a voucher from Global Vacation Exchange whose telephone salespeople said there were no restrictions. Liars! The voucher from Worldwide Travel has many restrictions, and you have to send a $100 money order, then a $146 money order, then they say the form wasn't filled out correctly. No reputable company should use Worldwide Travel Center for "free" incentives or prizes.

Free Arline Tickets
I received a postcard offer of "free round trip Airline tickets for two from any Airport in the US to any Airport in the US". We called and learned that we would need to go to "a no pressure to purchase" presentation lasting 90 min. Was sent a letter confirming this and listing what we would receive for attending, which included not only the Airline tickets but 2 nights hotel accomodations and a free 7 day car rental. We went. When we did not buy we were given a contract with more hoops to jump through and disclaimers than it would be worth, including the submission or $175 refundable fee paid as US Postal money order before we even started. We would be paying all kinds of fees and taxes not included in the offer, etc. I think you get the point. The time o the travel is up to them and they can change airports and rental locations to suit themselves. Everything has to be handled by mail which gives you little chance to get questions answered. You must use the travel in order to get your refund of the $175 back. I wonder just how many people send this in and just give up after the frustration of the back and forth through the mail. None of this was as represented in the initial card or following phone call or confirmation letter. We did not learn of the conditions until after we attended the presentation. I consider this a scam.

Scam and cheating!
I'm glad I listened to my inner voice, didn't ignore the red flags, and checked with ripoff report before I mailed off my money and credit card information! I phoned the company to make my reservation. The agent (obviously from India, but falsely claimed she was located in 'Florida') told me her computer could only bring up available reservation dates in Nevada and Arizona due to a computer glitch. She said my only option was to mail my reservation form request in. In direct conflict with the instructions on the reservation form, she told me I had to include a $50 check, along with a handwritten statement as follows:
'I, ______(my name), the undersigned, authorize __________ (they fill in name) hotel to charge my credit card_____________(enter my credit card information) for the required security deposit.'
This reeks of FRAUD for customers to be forced to give an undisclosed hotel free reign to charge your credit card for unauthorized charges, just in order to have your vacation package honored!!! There are so many complaints on ripoff report against this obviously unscrupulous company, I have no intention of mailing my reservation form in. Instead, I plan to file a complaint with lawyers and settlements. I suggest all of you file a complaint with this website, as you may be contacted by an attorney. Cite the complaints on complaintsboard.com, and suggest a 'class action lawsuit.' Also, file a complaint with your local Better Business Bureau, and contact your Attorney General and request that they file criminal charges against this company for fraud, theft, misrepresentation, and bad business practices.
Thanks to all the others who posted warnings about this company and saved us from becoming potential victims of this company.

Free travel scam!
Worldwide Travel Center - www.worldwidetravelcenter.com
I won a free vacation from Zangara, Dodge in Albuquerque 3 Days and 2 Nights free vacation from Worldwide Travel. I called to activate the vacation within the 15 days as stated on the brochure, but the Customer Service Agent that didn't speak English told me that Zangara, Dodge hadn't registered my number, yet. I asked to speak to the Customer Service Agents Supervisor and/or a a co-worker, so that I could better understand. The Customer Service Agent refused to let me speak to a co-worker or Supervisor or to somebody that I could understand and put me on hold pretending to get somebody else for me to talk to. I researched this company on the internet and found that there have been several complaints. It appears that Worldwide Travel Center is telling consumers that dates for hotel room availability are not available, so the consumer sends their registration card again to Worldwide Travel Center. Worldwide Travel Center calls back and tells the consumer that their date selected is not available, but another hotel room is if the consumer agrees to participate in a free 90 minute timeshare presentation. It is really deceptive advertising. It is kinda like "Here is a free token, but all you have to do for it is run around the mountain 3 times." It really isn't worth the time that it takes to keep mailing, the postage and envelopes, the telephone calls for a savings of up to $175. If I go on vacation, then I like relaxing vacations and not that kind of annoyance. Consumers are better off just paying for the Hotel room directly to the Hotel, then waste that much time on a scam. I would also rethink buying products of any Vendor that purchases Worldwide Travel Center 2 Nights and 3 Days free vacation. I believe it might be an indication that the Vendor itself lacks the research ability, quality and care. What does the Vendor really expect in purchasing from 5 to 20 dollars per brochure for a 2 Nights and 3 Days free vacation? The Worldwide Travel Center 2 Nights and 3 Days vacation is just a link to a 90 minute timeshare presentation that because Worldwide Travel Center tries to hide this from the consumer, the consumer can spend too much time on postage, envelopes, telephone calls and rearranging their schedules.
