WOW Car Company Reviews

GREAT COMPANY - A WONDERFUL PLACE TO BUY A USED CAR
I recently purchased a vehicle from WOW Car Co. in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. What a good place to do business with. A great vehicle, a low price, and the people there are great. I recommend WOW Car Co. to anyone looking to buy a good used vehicle.

I am putting this recommendation on here because I googled WOW Car Co AFTER I purchased my vehicle from them. I was looking for their web site with a friend who was considering buying a car. We thought we would find their web site and check out their inventory before we actually went to the lot. Then we seen where a couple people put some bad remarks on here about them. Well, my experience is that they are very nice people. I bought a great suv for over $2, 000.00 less than I could find one like it for anywhere else.

So, when you google WOW Car company please consider my recommendation. I do not think you could find better people to deal with or a better vehicle for the price anywhere else

Failure to provide contract, memo of title and wrong price
My daughter and son-in-law purchased a vehicle and were refused a copy of the Retail Installment Contract and Security Agreement when they purchased a car. My daughter and son-in-law are very young, recently married and expecting their first child. The salesman was helpful to then and quoted them the price they presented from the internet ad which is what brought them to the car lot. They were told that the price of the car was $2998 but the contract stated that the price of the car was $5, 000. My daughter and her husband are very young and never purchased a car before. They asked if the $5, 000 figure included all cost and interest and they were told that it did. They were also never provided a Memorandum of Title and had to pay a second time to get it so that they could register the car. Unfortunately, I was not with then when they purchased the car but once I review the document, a week later when I had to accompany my daughter to the dealership and request, again, a copy of the contract, I immediately sent a letter to the owner. To date, the only response I received was a very rude, short call from the company's statutory agent with threats and a request to never contact him again even though it is his responsibility to accept correspondence and documents on behalf of the company. I was then sent a letter from the alleged owner who did not address any of the concerns but instead threatened legal action against myself. I was hoping that they would want to respond appropriately and resolve the issues but instead I am threatened with legal action for helping my daughter and son-in-law write a simple letter. I was also threatened with a slander suit for expressing my opinion and my concerns on this very website. I am still hopeful that they will want to take a hard look at the facts of this situation and make a resolution but I am afraid that my hope is unfounded.

Beware!
My daughter and son-in-law, newly married, expecting their first child and in need for a car for my daughter to get back and forth to her doctor's appointment, found a car on the company's web site and proceeded to purchase a vehicle. Upon purchase they were refused a copy of the Retail Installment Contract and Security Agreement. They were also never provided a Memorandum of Title and had to pay a second time to get it so that they could register the car. They were also told that the price of the car was $2998 but the contract stated that the price of the car was $5, 000. My daughter and her husband are very young and never purchased a car before. They asked if the $5, 000 figure included all cost and interest and they were told several times that it did. One week later, my daughter and myself had to visit the car dealership and, again, request the Retail Installment Contract and Security Agreement. Unfortunately, I was not with then when they purchased the car but once I review the document, I immediately sent a letter to the company which was drafted by myself, my daughter and her husband, to which I received a call from the Statutory Agent, Max Erwin, Sr. who was very rude, short and told me to never contact him again and that he was going to have me charged with the unauthorized practice of law for simply helping my children write a letter which I signed and they both signed. The letter simply regurgitated the history of the transaction and asked for an amicable resolution. In return, I them received a letter from the alleged owner stating that she forwarded my letter to the Ohio Supreme Court for the unauthorized practice of law along with threats of legal action for slander for anything that I may or may not say on this Complaint Board. Long story short - they do not appear to be willing to address any issues that arise from the conduct of their employees who directly represent the company. I, myself, have purchased several vehicles during my lifetime and have never experience such behavior. Most business are willing to address concerns but they simply make threats of legal action. Very sad. Further, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding the transaction and the company responded that the $2,998 figure on the car was for cash only and that if you had to get a loan, which they did for approximately 2/3 of the amount, then the cost of the car goes up, in their case 60%. This makes no sense since they received a check from the bank for cost of the car. They were not financing the car themselves. Also, the salesman told both of them that since they had a substantial down payment and they seen the car on the internet that he would sell them the car for the cash/internet price. This whole transaction has been a big mess and the children have learned a very valuable lesson. However, I am still hopeful that we will resolve this matter to our satisfaction through the involvement of other governmental agencies and consumer advocacy groups.
