"Diet Teas" are scams
I recently noticed a complaint about WuYi tea. It came to my attention last year that there are many websites (like WuYi) boasting special, "new", powerfully slimming "teas." Let me tell you, read the ingredients! If it says "Camellia Sinensis, " (and no other ingredients) then it's basically just plain old tea! I actually called the number on a website that was selling something called WuYi Tea, promising rapid weight loss, etc. I asked the guy to tell me the ingredients (they were not listed on the site). He told me "Camellia Sinensis, nothing more."

Green tea, white tea, black tea, are all from the same plant (Camellia Sinensis). The difference is when they are harvested, where they are grown, how they are dried/processed. They all contain caffeine, which is found in many diet products, as it increases metabolism to some degree. They all contain antioxidants. If you choose to use tea (Camellia Sinensis) as an addition to your diet regimen, that's fine, but don't waste $30 on a box of plain old tea! Black, green and white teas can all be found in supermarkets and health food stores. A $4 box of Lipton will do the same thing.

Also bear in mind, that guzzling tea all day is pointless if you're still eating junk and being lazy. The key to successful weight loss is proper nutrition, sufficient water intake, plenty of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Lifestyle changes have to be permanent. If you get lazy and start eating junk again, you WILL gain your weight back regardless how you lost it.

Use caution when buying diet supplements, ESPECIALLY ONLINE! Examine the sites carefully, look for contact info. Call the contact numbers to ensure they're legit. Read all ingredients, "proprietary blend, " "other ingredients, " and "herbs" are not sufficient explanations! If you don't know what it is, don't take it until you find out. If you have to write down the ingredients and research or consult a health professional prior to purchase, then do so. Don't jeopardize your health!

Scam charges
I got one order of WuYi tea and immediately called and canceled - told them i did not want the Live Life Lean program when I got the first e-mail. they said they had canceled it but still charge a monthly $ 1995 on my credit card.

Unauthorized charges
I purchase tea from that website and a company called insider secrets has been charging my credit card for $4.95 for about 5 months I just found out today. When I try to call the 1-800-281-9006 number provide on my statement it refers me to the website. I am unable to cancel this membership that I never knew I had.

Unlawful deliveries
I have been receiving the Wu-Yi tea and have not been able to stop deliveries. They ship it automatically and charge my credit card $55.00 with each delivery. There is no email to reach them, no phone numbers on their site and the phone number to call on the box is blocked.

This needs to be stopped...there are most like thousands of us who are being taken advantage of with this scam. It doesn't work...you cannot stop it. I am handicapped and retired and cannot afford to have these charges continue.

Unauthorized charges
After many attempts at dieting, I decided to try your weight loss product. After using it, I found it to be just like any other tea, and that your company was using false advertising techniques. I contacted your company to cancel my next order. They agreed, but told me that I would have to contact your website to cancel the other charges for web access, which I was not made aware of when ordering your product. The price of the tea alone was outrageous, let alone the fee for membership and the price for web access!!! I expect to receive all of the fees credited to my credit card account immediately! Just remember - your company is committing fraud !

Charges to be credited: Membership 9/13/08 - $9.95
Membership 10/14/08-$9.95 (Charged even after cancellation)
Web Access 10/14/08-$4.95
Web Access 11/10/08-$4.95
Membership11/15/08-$9.95
Web Access 12/10/08-$4.95
Web Access 01/09/09-$4.95
Web Access 02/10/09-$4.95

Why on earth did I get charged for web access, when I never used this service?????? And why could I not cancel the membership and the web access at the same time, with the same person ???? Just another run around technique!!! At the very least, do right for others and your company's reputation by refunding people's credit card totals!! Pat Merman

FRAUD
I oredered a free trial of this tea and paid $4.95 for shipping, I received the tea and have had numerous charges debited to my credit card with no authorisation from myself. These charges add up to $600.00. I have contacted my bank and have had to cancel my credit cards. This is now in the hands of my bank and hopefully this company will be charged with FRAUD. I am unsure as to whether I will be reimbursed for the funds that have been fraudantly taken from my account.
I have tried numerous times to contact the company via email and phone calls but all to no avail.

Taking payments without authorisation
I bought the tea back in Dec 08, made a payment using my card, theyhave since taken 3 further payments without my permission and i have never even received any further products for the money, have tried to contact them with no success and have had to get my bank to block any further attempts by them to withdraw more money. Wish I never made the first order, buyers BEWARE!!!
