No refunds for the poor services provided
First off, we got the brochure for a free 2 nights stay, through my daughter's elementary school for her fantastic job at selling cookie dough. This was one of the gifts given to her for the fundraiser. After we paid the $50 up front for the process/application fee, we were told that we had one year to book a trip. We called six months ahead of time and was told that it was too early to book a stay any where. Then we called at 3 months, and was told that that was not enough time. Regardless, our one year was coming to an end and we had to get a place to stay or we would lose our money. So we started our reservation process and was told that the only way to get a free 2 night stay was if we attend their timeshare tour, which would take about 2 hours. Furthermore, we are only qualified if we make the necessary combined income to take a tour, which we luckily did, otherwise, we would lose our money. Anyways, we booked three months ahead of time, and two days right before we were to take our trip, we get our confirmation and the terms and conditions. Of course, the confirmation says that we have to attend the tour in order to not be charged for our stay, and no kids are allowed. Well, we were told that by the agent and nowhere was it written. We have a 5 month old daughter, and since no kids are allowed, and being 6 hours from home, we won't have a babysitter. Well, we had already purchased tickets for several amusement parks for ourselves and our other two daughers, that we had no choice but to take our trip anyways. My wife and I ended up taking time off from work, purchased 4 days of amusement tickets for each of us, and now had to get a hotel to stay at, since we would be charged for our stay at this supposedly "free" stay. We ended up taking our trip, but staying somewhere else. This place says they won't refund our money, and I am really upset because of that. I don't know what service they provided other than a major headache. I would stay away from this place, even if you get a so-called free offer for your child's performance at school.
