I was seeking out a new car on Craigslist.org and emailed many listings. I found one for a used luxury sedan by owner that was supposedly just trying to find someone to make
the payments on their car and that was why they were looking to get rid of it so cheap. Well they responded to my email telling me that I had to fill out a credit report from
freecreditreport247.org in order to be approved to get the car, which doesn't make sense because if I was going to get a loan for the car then wouldn't my own bank be the one
to approve or reject me? ANYWAYS - I was really desperate to get a good car at a good price so I filled out the credit report and got the "supposedly" free trial for 7 days. Now, I
emailed the results to the guy just like he requested but I never heard anything again. I had to cancel my credit cards and issue a fraud report because now some scam artist
from craigslist has all my personal information. I tried calling the number on the www.freecreditreports247.org web site but nobody answered, and i tried it for 3 days.
Not only was I charged $34.95 to my account, it happened to be that time of the month when my account was low, so I ended up with $179 in overdraft fees from this company.
I ended up having to close my bank account because I could not stop this company from overdrafting my account over and over again because they do not respond. Beware!!
IF SOMEONE ASKS YOU FROM CRAIGSLIST OR ANY OTHER CLASSIFIED SITE TO PROVIDE A CREDIT CHECK AND THEY TELL YOU TO USE FREE CREDIT REPORTS 24/7 IT IS A SCAM.
THEY WILL NOT RESPOND AND YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THE SERVICE FOR NOTHING. IF YOU NEED A TRULY FREE CREDIT REPORT USE ANNUALCREDITREPORT.COM they
allow you to request a totally free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies:
Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
