Warning
After being connected with someone, the person was asking questions, commenting on my name, didn't recognize the computer I was calling about even though the GeeksByMinute Website has a listing stating computer support for Micron Computers right on it's home page and it's in the informaiton under their Website when you do a search for Micron Computer Support on Google.
She asked me to hold several times. I asked if there was someone there who's been there longer and has more experience who may have heard of Micron Computers.
I asked if I was being charged yet because I though she was customer Service asking for my name and trying to find out who she could connect me to.
No yes or no answer-just 'I would be charged if SHE could help me.' What???
I started a timer. After being put on hold and answering more repetitive questions, she was able to find info on Micron Computers. After timing her for about 14 minutes, she finally told me to go to a computer store for service.
I asked what the charge would be. She said I would find out after we were disconnected. Recording came on: $43.78. What???
In their 'Terms of Service' it states: You may request a refund for any consulting fee by submitting your request to the support technician within frve (5) minutes from the start of the call. All reasonable requests will be honored.
Hmmm, that's why all the putting on hold and questions go on before they even attempt to help you.
I called the Billing number immediately and of course the "answering service" answered. I asked to speak to customer service and she said they have left for the week. It's only 4:40 on a Tuesday.
I said, "How convenient", and she mumbled something with 'convenient' in it and hung up on me.
I'm filing a dispute with my credit card company on Thursday.
